can’t speak for men but personally, i don’t see the point in having irl male friends. anything a man can give me platonically is something my partner gives me better. besides, u show a bit of compassion and let him be vulnerable with u things usually get weird.

that being said i don’t have irl female friends either, i just talk to my sisters.

I mean, everybody does this. Past experiences inform the way you answer this specific question.

The objective answer to the question is that people of the opposite s***can be friends, because it does happen. How often it happens or how difficult it is depends on the people involved.

Quite rare for men and women to genuinely be friends, only times it truly happens is if the “friendship” traces back to childhood days or were acquainted through their SO’s.

Otherwise a single guy wanted to be friends with my GF? F*** no I’ll never let that happen and vice versa. Can’t trust no guys after almost all of them developed feelings for her during their “friendships”.

If you can’t have women friends without trying to get on that with them, that’s a personal problem. I got hella women friends I’ll never get on that with because their vibe is amazing and I would hate to complicate things. Y’all gotta learn how to friend zone women and stop trying to stick your d*** in everything.

delusional. I make friends with women all the time whether its people in friends apartment buildings, people at leagues, on the disc golf course, work, still have multiple close friends that are girls I met in college, friends of friends from out of state to play helldivers with, etc. its like yall dont even go outside or something else like not even having male friends to begin with lol

I couldnt imagine how anyone gets into all relationships without being friends first either, thats only ended bad for me

I even roomed with like 3 women in college, technically some others too short term, and my initial dorm was any gender. of course I made friends with women there too

Lmao dude I’ve seen the bullshit that happens in front of me. Sorry but I can’t trust no guy period, and thats not to say I’m insecure or jealous of them by any means. Can’t shake the feeling of them eventually causing trouble and headache down the road. Maybe it’s my girl, as she’s not only beautiful but is warm and welcoming in general (Just like me lol).

Like this guy in our dance community, she had a friendship with him up until last summer where she felt it was getting inappropriate due to the emotional connection they ended up forming. Nothing physical happened ofc, and she ended their friendship. But now the guy is hovering around and seems little eager to restart their friendship, but neither of us are having it. She also has several other guy acquaintances, but they’re older dudes who are very considerate, and committed to their own lady.

Guess it depends, but for the most part I’ll have to agree-disagree with you.
