is the general consensus amongst people who fw him heavy that he's more liked for music reasons or persona reasons? is it strictly a fusion of the two? can he even be boxed in with the artists mentioned? asking in good faith, feel free to put me on to stuff too cuz most of what I heard is links and soundbites people put up on twitter/ktt2

what makes the fanbase what it is though? the guy under my op that said you get it or you dont, is there anything specific about rx that alienates more mainstream leaning rap fans in your friend circle etc? cuz this is the first rap artist in a while who's cult following to follower count is almost 1:1, which is really interesting

what @JitJuvenile is kinda true. like same thing w lil b.. you either get it and fw it heavy or you don’t really fw it at all and it might just seem like a joke/meme.

a lot of my friends tell me it’s just too hard to keep up w all the music/overwhelming discography so they don’t even know where to start and catching up just feels kinda impossible/like work.

also like 90% of their songs sound like it was recorded through a potato in the early 2000s so that could be off putting to a lot of ppl. especially when most new rap music these days sounds super crispy/clean and loud n s***.

also the punch in style flow/rapping might be a turn off to mainstream rap fans but that style is also kinda getting more popular now esp in ny.

I fw his rapping voice heavy + I love when rappers can incorporate humor into their songs w/o sounding like lil d***y or some joke rap s***.

also dude got range. diff flows, styles, beats, subject matter etc.

Someone bringing something different to the table and being themselves but for real. It’s refreshing and it’s nice that we constantly get new music.

Like we can compare other rappers to Pap to try to build a family tree but really Pap is doing Pap. Same thing with Neph. My favorite rappers since Rio got locked up
