Cap af lol Ems last album was better than Ye’s 100%
The thing with Ye & Em is that Ye is looking for trouble in the wrong places while Em is poking fun at Diddy and s*** like that.

Who's talking about Ye here? I've been said the Vultures albums were beneath his level on the first post.

I'm talking about how critics rated TDOSS as his lowest rated album even worse than Revival.

Of course, critics shouldn't matter much in rap since many of them are b****es with their own agendas(def the case with Em) but I bring it up to show that even though we as rap fans may f*** with Em's album, the album was actually panned af.

And he’s throwing AI filters on Ghost Town during the LPs in China + had it on his last album

Acting like it’s farfetched for there to be AI vocals on this next one is delusion

Someone isn’t fallen off till you stop checking out their work on release day

It’s actually crazy how much material Ye has dropped in a 20 year Career. (Since College Dropout)

College Dropout to Graduation was a 3 year time span. People were already ready to call him the goat just off these.

I look at it like this though.

I'm a 50 Cent fan. 50 retired from music and none of this post 2005 albums are close to his prime. Maybe BISD but that's it.

But 50 contributed enough to rap to make up for it which is why I'm still a fan. I still bump songs from GRODT, Massacre, POTD, the mixtapes, deep cuts from BISD, G Unit albums, etc.

50 Cent used to be the biggest poster child for falling off besides Ja Rule(ironically) but, over time, people have grown to appreciate 50's contributions.

It's crazy that KTT has a hard af time learning to do that with Ye or Wayne's careers. Or even Drake's.

Instead, ya'll just make the same posts 1,000 times about how they haven't put out a good album since insert year.

Difference is 50 Cent stopped doing music and went to other ventures where he have been successful and created a more respected persona. Kanye just went crazier and crazier to the point of completely destroying any kind of respect. Mental health issues ultimately were his downfall. I still can't listen to his old stuff without feeling sad of what he became and I just stopped listening to protect myself

    Way to miss the point.

I'm talking about how a rapper doesn't need to be in their prime forever to acknowledge their contributions and legacy.

I'm still a Wayne fan for example. He's tied with Nas as my personal GOAT.

But I'll be the first to tell you that all of Wayne's solo albums after C3 fall short except for C5 maybe(mostly due to subject matter).

He makes up for it in other ways which is why I'm still a fan.

They have a hard time doing it because the span of time it took for that to happen to Ye. We’ve never seen a run like it.

Dude dropped timeless genre shifting music for 2 decades. No gap between drops that was longer than 3 years.

Also Ye is still giving us timeless songs even after his “fall off” so the waters are still muddy a bit.

So, Kanye's behavior affects your connection to his music?

If so, that makes perfect sense and I wish more people would be candid about that instead of just discrediting people's runs without explaining s***.

Sometimes, s*** like that can affect your enjoyment of people's music. There's people who can't even enjoy MJ's music because they believe the allegations. Ditto for R Kelly, Dr. Dre, and Nicki Minaj. Drake too even though the pedo accusations haven't been truly proven.

It is what it is. I personally never saw rappers as role models so I'm still able to separate the music from the person.

In the 2000's before 2009, Michael Jackson was one of the biggest punchlines in entertainment.

He was called "Wacko Jacko", weird/mentally insane, accused of molesting kids, made fun of in pop culture constantly, dropped his worst album(Invincible), had so many haters in America that he toured exclusively overseas, and had many people discrediting his music and claiming that he'd be nothing without Quincy Jones.

This was way more common than you think too pre 2009. And what's even crazier is that it happened during a time where MJ was s***ting on Sony and accused of being an anti-Semite who thought the Jews were in control of things.

Suddenly, MJ dies, and most of this s***(besides the child accusations) got buried like crazy. Literally no one talks about it at all anymore.

    Just an interesting observation.
