dont know how this goes 9 pages.
Bro posting on internet explorer
ultralight, fsmh pt 2, fml, no more parties, 30 hours, real friends
I’ll give you 30 hours, real friends, and no more parties in LA. Ultralight beam is a great song, lyrically though Chance is the one who shines lyrically there though.
FML is cringeworthy (especially the beginning), and Kanye’s part is whatever in part 2 (and Desiigners part is f***ing horrible lyrically)
Donda revisionist history
Donda is fine but is nowhere near the rest of his discography up until 2016

Bipolar

Finance
Was expecting this to be a bumped 2019 thread given the title. OP I am afraid this is not a hot take, we have admitted this. A long time ago
Honestly I don’t even care to talk about Ye’s current music
I really just hope he’s okay, bro is an icon forever
Yup a legend
These nerdy debates of him ruin his legacy is dumb AF. Those classics will live along with how he achieved it and changed the music landscape

updated it for people complaining

Exactly.
Don't care for the Vultures stuff outside some songs but Kanye's legacy is cemented forever.
Most rappers "fall off" at some point or make music that isn't on par with their prime. It's just something you accept.
DMX's music after 2003 never came close to his prime but does that mean we disregarded DMX's classic run? Hell no.
Wayne's solo music also fell off after the 2000's. Does that mean Wayne's no longer a legend/GOAT? Hell no.
Not sure why Kanye has to drop a bunch of MBDTF's for the rest of his life when he already has up to 6 solo albums deemed classics, a classic collab album with Jay-Z, a quality collab with Cudi, a compilation filled with timeless bangers(Cruel Summer), a decent gospel album he spearheaded over(Jesus Is Born) and great projects he produced for others like Common and Pusha T.
I think the same can be said for Drake too even though it's also "uncool" to like him in 2024. Take Care, NWTS, SFG, IYRTITL, and even Views are going to live on for a long time.

DMX run still blows my mind. You know you're hot as fish grease when your albums get snubbed at the award shows and the niggas nominated are pissed about it.

Yeah. DMX was hot af during his prime. Even Hov had to step his performance up in the HKL tour cause of him.
Dude's inner struggles and industry politics hurt his run though.
People who say ye fell off after Pablo must of had they headphones turned down when these came on
come to life is such an incredible late career song
You know KTT2 changed when even Boxden of all places is debating whether Jesus Is King is a good album or not.

Mind you....Boxden generally has never f***ed with Ye like that because he's seen as more of a "pop rapper" over there.
