    PEMDAS has a caveat that even though division is after multiplication in the acronym they should be performed left to right in the equation. So in this instance you would actually evaluate the 6/2 = 3 after the parenthetical expression and then 3(3) = 9

    i looked it up turns out PEMDAS is different from BEDMAS which is what they teach us in Canada lol idk recall a special rule like that under BEDMAS
