just finished a 2 year fashion business and arts diploma and i have no idea what the f*** i want to do with my life
Not fashion I take it? This is the field I'm interested in...
I like the News, but I’d never be a anchor or article writer lol.
I like business, I was managing a restaurant
What do you mean, youd never be an anchor or article writer? If thats what you like I dont see why you shouldn't go purse it.
Now you have to answer why you like the news? the deeper you go the more you will realize about yourself, and the easier to know what to do, a lot have to do with your up bringing actually.
how do I get my LinkedIn up rn? I only follow one user which is someone on ktt2
I dont even have a profile pic because I dont have any professional photos of me
Unless you are applying for jobs, I dont think that linkedin is important, what I did was just to add all my friends t, add friends parents too, add your parents, basically add everyone you know lol
Awaiting on my acceptance to study Interaction Design
basically ux design
just finished aa transferring over
thats cool b, do you want to app design or web or smth else?
Honestly i wished i never went to a 4 year college straight outta high school.
I had zero clue about what i was doing in life and didnt really find my calling until my third year in college.
Kinda wished i did CC instead and just took classes that interested me instead to discover my passions.
Although one thing i did enjoy was dorming.
To think of it more positively, maybe you wouldn't have found your calling if it wasn't for college. So whats your calling b?

I really want to do fashion. I'm nearly finished with my associates in a graphic design program. I've been assessing whether or not I should apply for a technical school to learn pattern making, or just learning on my own.

irdk tbh
design is really everywhere
like in the products we have, physically, like scissors and chairs and teapots and s***,
and then also in websites/apps
also in how we utilize the computer and phone which holds that website and app
and also in the society we live in..
i think interaction design is really really really interesting and id be down to do it anywhere
i think i don't know specifically what i want to do within interaction design, e.g. what company to work for or whatever
but i think i really like solving social-justice problems.. i am a huge political theory nerd... so... yea thats me
all this is banking on whether or not i get in, im currently making my portfolio rn for UW (university of washington)
idk what im going to do if i don't get in
probably major in philosophy then get a masters in interaction design

yea I feel the same way about design. A thing that might combine social justice problems and design would be urban design which you mentioned "the society we live in". By designing the right city, it has a great impact on how the people feel in the city, how people interact with one and other, business development...

yeah thats another way to look at it. still preferred to save thousands of dollars at CC, but i cant complain i liked my university experience.
it ended up being in healthcare, nursing in specific. look to build my way up from there.

I know there is a global nurse shortage aacnnursing.org/News-Information/Fact-Sheets/Nursing-Shortage now with covid I think theyll realize much more how important nurses are. Although Ive heard how hard it is to transition from nurse to doc if thats what you wanted to do.

Well I dont think you need to go on your own path right away, I think it could be a good idea to work for some of the big fashion houses and then try to do your own thing especially you have more experiences. Plus thats how basically all these big designer make it.

Probably move into the pharmacy tech at the hospital or clinical support tech. I’m not trying to go back to school for some years to be a RN
my end goal is to becoming ambassador to Japan and then i’ll transfer back to the UK within the civil service and then i’ll hopefully become a senior professional in the fco

ADN schools takes 4 semesters if u have a bachelors already. might be an option for u playa.
why not continue down the fashion route? How I see fashion is that there is the art side (fashion design) and the science side (business side) which both are equally important. I can kinda see how you are stuck in the middle cause on one hand you got the art degree which would align more with the art side, but at the same time you have a fashion business degree which is more of the science side. If I were you I would have to decide first which side you want to be on. https://www.businessoffashion.com/education heres some online certificate that you could take, if any of those interests you. Personally I wanted to do merchandising, because at the same time there was the a***ytics of the numbers to see which color/model/style you should get and also the quantity, but also the fact you could travel to the fashion runways and go to the showroom and actually pick out what you wanna buy.
thanks for the insight man, its not a degree its just a little two year diploma program, i wanted to go into the business side of it but i soon found out after i started the retail buying class fourth semester that i cant do math at all and might even be clinically ed and fashion design is a whole other beast i have no interest in cause that s*** looks so frustrating, i was thinking about doing something involving youtube but im not sure what yet
might cop final cut pro and learn how to edit videos and s***, idk man i turn 26 next month and my parents are on my cause about what i want to do with my life and im tripping lmao, feels good to write this out man its all good if u dont read it all <3
