they are the type of people that only listen to top of the chart songs and i feel like everytime i try to show them some gems and share my passion for music with them they seem to think that i'm being weird, it probably annoys them

For most people music isn’t a passion it’s another part of existence like the morning news that they just receive casually through osmosis. People like me, yourself, and the rest of KTT are a very small minority of planet earth. Do I wish people cared about music as deeply as we all do? Sure. Am I going to get worked up about the fact most people aren’t like that because they either have different hobbies that they would likewise clown us for if we only had a surface level knowledge of them while claiming to be fans of said hobby, or because they are too consumed by other necessary parts of existence in a demanding capitalist world that doesn’t give them time for any hobbies?
