That’s funny cus that’s one of the movies I was thinking where everyone was hyped for it but most them Niggas hated it.
Northman is actually one the ones I thought was dope. And Nope.
But then Everything everywhere is a movie that wasn’t on my radar at all prior to 2022, and that ended up being really good.

I’m off work this week cus thanksgiving so I think I wanna sit down and rewatch the top movies that came out this year and put my top 10 list together.
Only a few movies left for the rest of this year
I also kinda saw it like they were sitting in front of her with her hand raised like she was conducting them and taking her pick at which one she wanted mirroring her predatory ways

Thread about all the spiritual/supernatural elements explained
https://twitter.com/catestan4ever/status/1594122868106854400wow. i definitely thought my brain was playing tricks on me during the film but holyyyy this one really a classic
So it was a less potent and unpredictable experience
This is a reductive way to look at movies. S*** was based off the tale that inspired Hamlet, so if you knew that story then yea I could see it being "predictable".
But there's more to a great movie than just that, it was masterfully shot and paced, the fight scenes were visceral, the acting was great, soundtrack hit and the third act genuinely had me stressed.
Like damn, not every great movie reinvents the wheel. The Dark Knight is just Michael Mann's HEAT with a Batman reskin. Sometimes the s*** is just a great experience.

I don't think I disagree with your take but there was just something missing I couldn't define. Took a sick day so might revisit.
