I know plenty of women with a good head on their shoulders that love and look up to women like Cardi B and Meg...and to a certain extension women like Kim K. They admire their boss status and independent focused mindset.

Many of y'all need to come into contact with more women if you think only certain types of women like the Meg, Cardi B, Nicki, etc.

Yea,those women can separate the entertainment from reality. We as music fans and fans of culture need to feel free critiquing this stuff and stop boiling it down to a certain thought process cause there’s many type of women that don’t agree with WAP as much as some respect it.

His point would hold value if he had raised it about male rappers first

I never see men complain about ass and t*** in videos until it's women doing it for themselves.

It's way more popular male rappers then women who got b****es stripping in videos why not go at them at any point in the year then the once every few months we see women rappers do it for themselves?

I understand what you're saying and tbh don't know if he (cee lo) has raised that concern before but I do know that male rappers have been dragged by black politicians and others for displaying black women in a overtly sexual light.

    • Nelly got a lot of heat for the tip drill video to the point he had to attend this debate...
    • I remember seeing a video of a black politician (female) holding a conference on the snoop Dogg album doggystyle album cover, they were taking about how toxic it was for the black community, how this was enough and called for boycott of snoop Dogg music(men and women had enough of it in the 90s already lol)

    • Condoleezza rice (black politician, republican I believe) also amongst other black voices spoke out about gangster rap (even Prince, the gender bending creative artist, was upset about that trend rising in the late 80s/early 90s)

See people have been holding men accountable for their vulgarity in their music....

    Nelly was criticized for this.

Hip Hop as been heavily criticised since it's inception.

Why are people acting like hip hop's glorification of violence and disrespect toward women is ignored and swept under the rug?

Did I say he wasn't I said specifically other male rappers not general critcism.

If you got something to rant about just rant about it you didn't need my post to cape cause your response doesn't even address my post.

A lot of them had fathers (not necessarily the best) but still had one
They did not have more guns
The 90s is when the guns started to really be a problem with gangs
They also weren’t always so constricted in proximity depending on the location

Bro everyone's biggest criticism was of Wayne's p**** lines during his trukfit era. Everyone hated that s***

yeah because they were corny but i don't recall anyone saying that he was being unprofessional or exposing his demographic to harmful content because of his lines about eating p****.

Statically black crime has been going down I heard
Even the black superpredators thing in the 90s was a hoax apparently

Familiarize yourself with her history a lil before passing judgement. She suffered from extreme domestic violence, which was largely the reason for why she first started getting plastic surgery.
