season 1 was like what studios usually do for movies. the shading and lighting were so dynamic and with softer complimentary colors. i loved how the animation was fluid and mimicked actual film making. the transitions, the angles, the “camera” movement.
the movie looks flatter and like any other typical anime. there’s constant planning and rotating with hard cuts. it’s not bad by any means, but again, it looks like anything else.
just knit picking and it won’t ruin how i feel about the movie but it’s honestly such a shame because season 1 was special

writing paragraphs while in the movie theater? Insane. I’d deadass yell at you
Oct 24, 2025The action scenes were incredible but even though the movie got a pretty long runtime some scenes still felt very short and lacked some of tension due to the fast pacing
In particular
The first Reze reveal when she kills the assassin and the fireworks scene when she ultimately bites Denji's tongue don't hit like in the manga because we don't really spend enough time with the character to be surprised by the reveal
Same for the ending where Reze approaches the cafe and there's no build up before Makima just appears
Might give it 7.5/10 right now

I didnt read the Manga so maybe the pacing was screwed with. But idk felt fine to me

I also saw in 3D 4DX & the 3D effects were INCREDIBLE in the way it felt so immersive and the 4dx during the fight scene had my seat like a damn roller coaster that was fun asf
