    Never posting agai

If we really are gonna talk about blatantly obvious direct influences it should be 1000 Gecs

Why does it have to be one person? More than one influence can be talked about.

In fact, u can talk about them. U over here saying what it should be. Make it that then.

  • FlipFlop

but then again, Dylan Brady's a producer on this album so it just makes sense, same with the Bon Iver comparison

Lol well I did say it was obvious. Thought he just did one song but either way that album's existence definitely affected the direction she took this one

You’re gonna say Justin and Abel don’t both use an autotune head voice? You sound like u never listened to them.

Your perception is dominated by the lifestyle the music is about more than the music itself.

If u think charli made wat she called a quarantine album with heavy falsetto autotune and hip hop and dance drums and the biggest album during quarantine that used heavy falsetto auto tune hip hop and dance drums aren’t even comparable, u clearly have an agenda.

U sucking off bon iver only makes things worse. Now calm down.

man, she litteraly made an album with heavy falsetto autotune and hip hop and dance drums LAST YEAR

I could give you a ton of artists who use autotune head voice, whats the point ? Im talking about the fact that Charli litteraly had Bon iver's producer doing her vocal effects on this album, if you still dont understand why im comparing this album to Bon iver rather than After Hours you're stupid

and wtf is the lifestyle associated with Bon iver Midwestern guy in a cabin

I LIKE THE WEEKND MORE THAN BON IVER for f***s sake, I just think the comparison doesnt make sense !

Weeknd and Charli both took influence from electronic production but did it in different genres and in such disparate ways they really ought not be compared

Jesus Christ you're obnoxious dude the albums are practically companion pieces in sound I'm not gonna articulate every thing that's same between 2 albums that literally share a producer

u whyl dumb for getting this emotional and offensive. Man up. U sound fatherless as hell. Can’t handle no type of dissent.

U brought up bon iver because I brought up The Weeknd.

U say charli did this before like weeknd ain’t been making that kind of music since his debut.

This album is similar to the weeknds album. U b****ing about how it’s even more similar to bon iver doesn’t change that even if it’s true.

Charli’s music is closer in sound to The Weeknd than bon iver point blank.

after hours moderately experimental on a couple tracks but the deepest that album goes into experimentation is on the OneOhTrixPointNever tracks

Charli and AG have a far more experimental approach, playing with voice modulation, song structure, and unorthodox drums and 808s on a level far beyond anything on after hours - not to say that it’s better

    both are great

both kind of resemble yeezus in sound

    this shouldn’t be an argument

man I told you MULTIPLE times that AH is my AOTY, now if you're categorizing The Weeknd as a dance artist it just doesnt make sense lol, and btw I provided an exemple of why I think Charlis album sounds like Bon iver but hey ignore it

After hours had way more expectations. Charli can be more experimental cause she doesn’t sell like The Weeknd and therefore has less constraints.

Even with the constraints weeknd’s album had dope experimental moments. Those moments while fewer in frequency where more experimental when they happened.

Abel made a highly danceable album and opened it up with no drums for almost two minutes and went long stretches without them.

Charli could barely go without drums for more than 30 seconds.
