You don't and it's cool because you don't have the capacity to understand what I'm speaking to. And that's ok, there is always work to be done.
But to assist you on your journey, I don't speak from the vantage point of opinion. That's ego, opinions are useless as everyone has one and no one is better than the other. I speak from the universal laws, the things neither you nor I can affect.
I dont need your assist
keep the passive irony for suporting your infectious beliefs and not belittling mine
You are misguided and misled. I hope you seek to find truth because you are blinded by faith.
The disingenuousness you've shown is reflective of your faith. Trying to demean my existence is the spine of your religion. I let you know an experience that I and others of my community has/had and you replied with "it's fine for me." Even as descendants we suffer the same perils as our predecessors, why? Whom is beyond reproach? Why don't you know or empathize with the struggles of your fellow "humans"? Why are there 3rd world countries when we have enough methods and materials to build a self-sustaining society?
Safe travels
this is sad
if anything, God isnt the one to blame
If I crash my car or burn my house it's not the constructor's fault
I'm done with this convo
it goes nowhere
You went no where. I gave you keys to the kingdom and you closed the door.
You didn't address any of my statements, you deflected.
Once again, Safe travels
this is sad
if anything, God isnt the one to blame
If I crash my car or burn my house it's not the constructor's fault
I also never directed any blame
god can do what god wants for me.
i got no say.
why trust in that. it's wild as hell to me too
Your looking at it wrong, you do have a say. God gave us a rational mind and free will, our life is in our hands. Your view is not a contradiction
my heart aches for the sick, the bed ridden, the ones who suffer with chronic illness.
I have a coworker, an older woman - one day she suddenly stopped coming to work. we all wondered what happened to her, she was our grant writer, she was a health expert, she was kind.
after months and months of no sign of her today a woman comes into my work, she tells me - “im here to drop off my laptop...” i was like ok? can i have your first name please? she tells me her name...i look into her eyes, this fragile, very skinny woman in a wig and it was my co worker. i barely was able to recognize her.
she is sick with cancer.
can we please lift her up in prayer? let’s lift up ALL of the sick.
💗 oh Father God .

... it is when i think about what i will do with my free will...
lmao 🤣🤣
This is pretty much where I am now as well. I know he's real but I realised he doesn't favour me / care. Or at least, the abrahamic god. I've now turned to philosophy to try to make sense of the world
What are your thoughts on (Mathew 6:25-34)?
What are your thoughts on (Mathew 6:25-34)?
To be honest I don't have much to say about it. I see it as another completely valid perspective on life. I.e. If you affix yourself to the abrahamic God and surrender to him, he will provide a form of refuge and protection.
This is all fine and well, but I'm self aware enough to understand I'm "corrupt". What if I do care about money and clothes and what I'm going to eat on Friday nights? That's the situation I'm in. I'm not "pure" enough to accept this message anymore.
Am I scared of hellfire? Eh, I don't really think about it.
For me it's all about: how do I make my life better? Not easier, not more relieving.
How do I live well, whether I'm surrounded by Christians or pagans or atheists? So far philosophy is the only thing I've found which addresses that

Do you think you can live well without Truth?
Do you think you can live well without Truth?
It depends what you mean by 'Truth'
It depends what you mean by 'Truth'
I'm gonna focus on one aspect and say moral truth. Like if all your neighbors are doing bad s***, is your philosophy gonna allow you to join them so that you can live better, or are you gonna reject their actions?

Well, the whole idea of the philosophy I'm reading (ancient Greek) is keeping your mind in a state conformable to nature. For example in the enchiridion, Epictetus writes that a person cannot be wishing and striving for external things while keeping their attention on their own inner world.
So the idea is really to stay to yourself and live by virtue and reason. Not necessarily external moral rules
I'm not 100% sure what your example is, but if it's driven by greed and a want of excess (like robbery) then the idea is definitely not to walk with those people doing wrong.
It's funny, this approach is almost equally as 'antisocial' as the Christian one from the eyes of the world. The idea is not to "fit in", it's to think for yourself

You should read 1 John brother, about how to walk righteously.

Acts 17:22-34
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, To The Unknown God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.
33 So Paul departed from among them.To the Orthodox homies, Christos anestei, Christos voskres, Christos haryav i merelotz, al-Masih qam ☦️
