Not sure what you mean, he’s not a preacher. Idk if your assuming his faith isn’t real for some reason, but if you read about how he became Christian it seems pretty genuine.

"Early Christianity was an entirely different tradition than what we have now, because until the Bible was made/codified there were all these gnostics running around, who were a mystical Christian cult and we have recovered documents such as the Nag Hammadi scriptures which are pre-Bible books that were basically just omitted like the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Judas.
So the thing is the mystic tradition of Christianity was sort of stripped out by the Catholic church saying that 'These are the specific tenants.'
There is a scholar at Princeton, Elaine Pagels who does amazing work, she theorizes that the reason behind this was a method of control for the Catholic Church where they took out all of the material that spoke of the gnostic belief that Christ could be metaphorically resurrected within an indivudal, they believed people could have Christ resurrected within them, in dreams etc. or basically its just the sort of more global religious concept of enlightenment. That someone could spiritually reach the next level (enlightenment) by having Christ metaphorically/metaphysically resurrected within you.
Her idea was that this gnostic concept was removed and they the Catholic church only took the books that would say he was literally, literally physically ressurected after being put in the tomb.
And of course the Catholic church also says only priests have communication directly with God, so they basically said you can't have any sort of internal mystical revelation without going through the intermediaries (the priests, the Church).
As a result of this, unlike Islam which has Sufism, and unlike Judaism which has Kabbalah, we have an Abrahamic tradition in Christianity that doesn't really have an active, alive, mystical component today because people still practice Sufism and Kabbalah."

Most of that historical argument is false, and if you want I'm willing to provide proof. Also there is a wide mystical tradition in Christian history.
do you guys not consume some entertainment on account of your faith?
I’m currently combing through my music and deleting things that go against the spirit
I used to be a horror movie fan but I’m slowly straying away from horror films. I try to to watch things with mindless violence and cursing. It’s a battle because most of my favorite content has this type of stuff, so it’s a slow process for me
Like, I’m not gonna sit down and watch a movie like midsommar or hereditary anymore. S*** like that is just straight demonic
I recently saw that cult of the lamb game for the switch, and I thought gameplay wise it looked dope but I’m not copping. Too much demonic symbolism in that one

idk much about it if you elaborate i'll read it

The Gnostics were running around at the time and the Apostles were actually spending time fighting their doctrines. The epistles of John and some of Paul's letters attack their ideas. The bodily resurrection of Jesus is one of the Pillars of the Christian faith, You get rid of that you have no more Christianity.
The gospel of Thomas and Judas are known to be written years after the apostles were around.
Also the early gnostics were degenerates. There were sects like the Valentinians who thought that since the body didn't matter they could do whatever they wanted, so they spent their time having orgies and doing other disgusting acts. There were also groups like the cathar that had all of their males castrate themselves because they thought that having children was inherently evil.
The way that the canon of the New Testament was recognized isn't some top down approach like the catholics want you to think it is. It was more like the Apostles wrote the books, and they were distributed widely throughout the churches. Each individual congregation recognized their validity, copied them and sent them to other congregations.
If you want to study christian mysticism look up The Desert Fathers. francis of assisi. Teresa of avila, Meister Eckhart. There's a lot more I could list but those are the main ones.
