Well said. Practical special effects from 100 years ago are more impressive that any CG I've seen since like Bram Stokers Dracula.

I went to a theatre with "real iMax" I couldn't really tell the quality difference from the mock iMax screens. Is the difference just purely the size of the screen?

size and format, there is no difference in the projection technology unless they show it on 70mm.
