Wanted to see in imax 70mm and had a trip to RI scheduled this weekend. So catching it there in Providence instead of seeing it at a standard screen where I am rn

The boycott of this was not as widely impacted as Palestine by any means man. Do I disagree with how they went about it without the determination of the people ? Yes but this doesnt compare to a genocide

i was comparing the hypervigilance, not death tolls. this is a big movie and the boycott / anticipation for this film has been brewing for some time. but u got it

Comparing them at all. Again in general there have been countless cases of people owning land or not respecting the inhabitants affecting their life while filming. While detrimental its not shocking that someone works with Morocco to film rather than inhabitants . Should they be given a benefit ? 100% but is it shocking, the end of the world or lead to any death ? NO.

if the issue in Palestine was just " they filming some movies there " there wouldnt be hyper viligance

disingenuous cus again, two different things. i brought up how the current climate is relevant, not that they're a 1-to-1 situation. the problem is nolan thinking continuing that legacy of occupied filming is ok. and audiences are either advertently or inadvertently affirming him by seeing the movie. nothing worth defending about any of that

reductive is comparing the hyper viligance of people calling out a genocide to filming in a location

it was a dumb comparison always......

Yes both is respecting people of the land but one is AN GENOCIDE AND APARTHEID STATE widely reported on. I am the one that posted the democracy now video you are quoting. I was bringing awareness to it BECAUSE IT WASNT WIDELY REPORTED ON. Both matter but be for real man

Filming in occupied Sahara as I said 3 days ago which was a day after I saw this movie WASNT AS WIDELY REPORTED ON FOR PEOPLE TO EVEN KNOW.

It wasnt mentioned widely in the press and even democracy now is not something many would see. Again I have said Nolan could have filmed somewhere else or done more for the occupied people . But it doesnt compare in anyway to Palestine and "they say free palestine but watch an movie in an occupied territory"

I would say if its not widely reported on and I am the one to post the democracy now its invertedly then at a certain level its there is no fully moral consumption. If I look at many of these movie companies, financiers . Saudis buying into game industry. Zionist throughout all industries. Is there a movie , game or music you can consume and not have some fear of misconduct or creators supporting something you dont support. Whether through casted actors, writers, directors, companies above? I would say its tough. I can critique that Nolan filmed in that area while also enjoying the contents of the film itself. The uppity "how can you say free palestine yet watch Odyssey " Is just so inherently stupid to me that I have to say something.
