I have said I never liked Letterboxd culture or what its become already of meme reviews. People becoming too obssesed with scores of "you gave this score but this this" when I have always said even before all of that when I went to art school I dont like how people review things. I dont like how people speak on art in general . Its why I discuss things in length here

I get it and also don't like to slap a superficial score on a powerful piece of art. But it also helps me remember what I thought of a movie that I watched 6 years ago and have totally forgotten so it can be handy for that. That's the main benefit of the app for me.

No doubt. And like I said, Nolan rewatches often hit harder than first watch so I'm leaving the possibility of the Odyssey going up in my estimation down the road. Oppy definitely did. Dunkirk however did not.

another thing i love is that this movie f***ing ends when it’s over. there’s no 20 minute sequence about him improving Ithaca, it cuts to credits with arrows still poking out from the last fight. absolute cinema

Eh. Honestly, I might see her point of view depending on this second watch. The spectical of the story and film is pretty amazing, but reading about how her version is written there is a lot of stuff left out of the movie for Odysseus character and how the suitors were portrayed. Still one of my fav movies atm.
