and it wont be a trend lmfao yall over reacting
Imagining someone like Taika trying to do this and there still being tickets available a year later
Sold out before the notification that it's even available is crazy work
I'm there tho, Oppenheimer 70mm looked like real life
Why is this not dropping for a year if it’s finished and screening now
It isn’t screening early, they’ve just put the imax tickets on sale a year early for aura
the people are buying tickets for the first time it’ll screen, July 16th 2026

and it wont be a trend lmfao yall over reacting
brother its a slippery slope lets not act ignorant
We’ll get headlines about how this is the most pre-booked imax film of all time and then we will see other studios see dollar signs / aura signs and start doing the same thing imo.

Nolan starts his marketing runs by putting out a trailer a year ahead usually while the film is still in production. We had a teaser for Tenet in theaters mere weeks after they started shooting for example.
He films quick but then will do post-production for months then have a proper trailer and marketing run up until next summer.
and it wont be a trend lmfao yall over reacting
Are you stupid? Every theater sold out in minutes. Of course this will become a trend lmfao.
Nolan is a god of filmmaking but this is dumb as hell and destructive for the industry
And one of them is scalping tickets
Absolutely
people like you deserve to get ripped off

Because its Imax 70mm. Normal imax theaters aint gonan sell out asap nation wide like this
theres only like 16 theaters in the US that support this format. This was always gonna be the case 1 year out, 6 months out, 1 month out. etc
If SOMEHOW this makes Imax 70mm format "a trend" then f*** it im all for it cause it is the best movie theater experience possible and more filmmakers should use it and support it
Its naive to think other studios won't try this lol. They take ideas from each other and this was a whopping success. Universal coulda added far more screens.
The only saving grace might be that there isn't enough films/names out there that could do this on regular basis.
