NWTS is his best project so if he models the album on it and takes a lot of time on the album it could end up being top 3 Drake projects or maybe even his best

  • Oct 10, 2020

Speaking of CLB i really hope he has more RNB features on this album, Brent, SZA, Summer Walker would be great choices

Everysong is going to be a hit or a do not disturb

Do Not Disturb has over 200 million streams so it is sorta a hit, not a radio or club one but it did resonate with people

Basing this assumption off the leaks we got , but Drake is different so they still might blow regardless.

Edit : I think it’s a good thing and feel the music will actually be more like NWTS . Actual music geared to the listening experience and not just big hits .

    Can’t wait

I feel you but I think you being to hard on LNCL. I don’t think Headlines are Started From The Bottom were any better in terms of breaking ground/being original. They just set the tone for the album. It’s like an appetizer before the full course.

LNCL is a quality single. The Boy was in his bag with the melody flow (blending rap and singing) which is something we haven’t heard much of recently. It’s either been full trap Drake, full 90s NY rap drake, full rnb Drake, or full rasta Drake lol. Production is great too especially in comparison to other stuff he’s released lately (did you peep how lush that fade out sounds at the end??? It’s the small things for me bro) CLB can still be Magnum Opus with LNCL as a lead. I wasn’t big on Change Clothes, Runaway, or Swimming Pools and look how those albums turned out.

Headlines blended Rapping and Singing so seamlessly like hardly anyone has ever done before. That song had bars yet was pure melody. Started From the Bottom is probably the first true Trap/Pop song.

I Think they were way more groundbreaking than Laugh Now Cry Later which just feels like God's Plan and Toosie Slide had a kid that won't ever amount to the achievements of either parent and those are two songs he has released in the past 2 years or so. I was expecting something new. Something innovative. Something that would have the whole world taking about and get people super excited for what's next from Drake.

Also I don't agree with your take on Change Clothes, Runaway and Swimming Pools. All three of those are iconic songs that will always be one of first songs people remember from that artist, era and/or album. I don't think the same will be said for Laugh Now Cry Later at all. I think the song is good man but pretty uninspiring at this point in his career and as the first or any single to an album that could make or break his authenticity as a rapper and quality artist.

This album could make or break his authenticity as a quality artist? Talk about a stretch

Seems like some of you are creating a project that doesn’t exist in your head already so you can complain on the first day when it inevitably doesn’t live up to the expectations you’ve been building for months.

LNCL is a very good song btw, I don’t know why every drake single must be groundbreaking or “innovative” whatever that means. Just enjoy the music
