Nice response.
I'll do just that, dw
You said a whole lotta f***in nothing.
Like nobody gives a f*** about the misconceptions of it. The point remains that in today's time we realize that it did more harm than good, and the reason why it was supported and/or looked at as a good thing back then is because of how rampant crime was throughout the 70s to early 90s.
Niggas love to hear themselves talk.
Writing up a whole diatribe of bullshit that you think imma waste my time reading through when we both agree that the Crime Bill is ass...
Like deadass eat a d*** nigga
Y'all tryna retroactively defend the Crime Bill when in present times we see the damage it has done. What sense does that f***in make
@KuntaKinte Read this again and shut the f*** up forever.

Actually read my post instead of proving yourself to be illiterate.
I made a direct reply to statements you made regarding people defending the execution of the crime bill and/or saying it had good intentions.
Us agreeing that the Crime Bill is ass doesnt mean we even agree on the nuances of the bill and or the history behind it.

Who is retroactively defending it?? You ignored my post that explicitly stwted what people are defending just to fight some strawman.
Do you think your posts are hard to interpret???

who is defending it lmao
You literally misquoted other posters arguments by saying "The crime bill started off good".
If you want to be a petulant child, be my guess, but my initial response was plenty.
And I know you cant argue against it because its objectively true. No one posting is defending the actual bill. No one thinks punishing or harsher sentences are good responses to criminality.
The crime bill also isnt directly correlated with crime decreases so really their is nothing to defend in regards to the bill itself.
who is defending it lmao
It's really more of a response that I've been seeing by many Biden supporters whenever people bring up the Crime Bill.
On that same note I also don't care when people bring up the Crime Bill because for its time many people were in support of it as a solution to a rampant problem. All that is understood, but it very quickly became something that f***ed up the lives of more people than it did to help.
It's like don't even bother trying to defend it or find a way to justify it by explaining what is was supposed to do. Nobody gives a f*** about that at this point. Leading back to my initial point of intentions don't mean s*** when the execution does harm.

Who gives a f*** about the nuances of a bill from 1994 in the f***ing Gregorian calendar year of 2020!?

Obviously you do(and by extension the rest of us do) if we're trying to have a conversation demonizing a single person involved in its creation lmao.
Cannot stand a bUt tHe NuAnCeS ass nigga
Real smooth brained retort.
Its not good to let strawmans live in your head rent free

Nigga we get it. You love to argue just to hear yourself talk. Take it with somebody else.

Aight, stop responding then lmao wtf.
If you dont want to get into it, then don't. No one is forcing you to continue an altercation on a Kanye fan site

the only reason this response exists from biden supporters is bc people like to use the crime bill as a gotcha against him, even though everyone knows it was terrible and his platform is now aimed at righting the wrongs of the bill

It's kinda hard to see he wants to "right the wrongs" of the bill when he chooses a prosecutor who celebrates her track record of incarcerating niggas for petty d*** offenses as his VP.
Like we'll see, but one would think that if you're trying to right those wrongs you'd stay clear of someone like that...even moreso since for the last 3-4 months people have been protesting/rioting for the police to be defunded and officers be held accountable for various unjust arrests and killings of a targeted group.
It's a very weak "gotcha" but his actions and rhetoric makes you question if he is truly about righting those wrongs, which is why it is still somewhat relevant gets brought up to this day. Sure we can acknowledge the nUaNceS of the bill and misconceptions of it. But it's pretty pointless to do so in this day and age when we see in some instances it is still used as a means to justify and target black and brown people.

ik, i agree with you about kamala, i think that was a weak f***ing pick and completely tone deaf, but what other option do we have
elections are a s***show in america
I’m not gonna tell you who to vote for, but be careful before giving up your vote so easy. Imagine if a progressive doesn’t win in 2024 or Kamala wants to run, they’ll make the exact same calls to vote for the liberals over the left. It will keep going on until we take a stand.
