I’ve held out watching it on Netflix in the hopes that I’d be able to catch it in theaters before the Oscars. Just found out my city has a screening on 35mm with a live Q&A with the director in a couple weeks

You lucky duck.. I feel it’s really a theatre movie. Watching it on my phone felt odd
finally watched this tonight.
this film elicited the feelings I had while playing Firewatch & Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2. I’m a sucker for a story about a stoic male figure trying to navigate the world through its constant hardships and struggles. add onto that a masterful Joel Edgerton performance, a gorgeous score, and the most stunning cinematography in a film from last year. a little slow in parts, but that adds to the overall somberness of the picture and really makes it feel lived in.
