If it’s easy enough for us to confidently predict it then it’s probably not pushing himself enough, only he can answer that question and figure out the interesting thing for him

HOV INNOCENTThere was a moment in time where “Love Yourz” had crazy legs and was still playing on radio just a few years ago where I’m at. It was the most impactful “positive” song I’ve witnessed in my life, a positive song that actually connected with regular people and resonated.
But then something happened and it feels like the song got forgotten after Covid, almost like all the negativity of the media finally cancelled that out and erased it from minds. I assume streaming doesn’t recommend that song anymore because they don’t want positive messages out there. Because something happened to take that song down a peg

Well I mean I wouldn’t want a completely unrelated Cole sounding album personally
It would be best if he dove into a complementary genre or dove deeper into something he already tested with in the past like that track he did with Major Lazer

You say this but I been right before. And streaming has given THEM the most power over listening habits that they’ve had since the early 60s. And we see how they’re using it: true positivity has been wiped out of public life. Streaming algorithm made speficially sure not to recommend any new listeners positive music in the last 5 years and Love Yourz fell off as a result

I'm sure it'll be a good album but it's been long enough now that I feel like J Cole should start taking some more risks with his music, Drake gave us Honestly Nevermind amongst other risks, Kendrick has always taken lots of risks but none more so than on Mr Morale, it's time for Cole too

cole took more chances than both honestly but people just don’t like his style or find it boring. He did an anti d*** album while creating a Quasimoto esque alter ego that also sings, and a jazz rap album from the perspective of a video tape. While producing his own s*** which people want to belittle but he has had many different production sounds. What do you want
