None of this matters, only 100 percent blue or red states will take Biden or trump off . The Supreme Court will obviously just put trump back on

There are 538 electoral votes spread amongst the 50 states (and Washington D.C.) distributed according to the population of the state. The candidate that gets to 270 electoral votes (half of 538) wins.

The electoral votes from each state are all given to a candidate or none are given to a candidate. Even if the citizens vote 51% Democrat 49% Republican, 100% of the electoral college votes would go to the Democratic candidate.

Are saying Colorado and Maine's decisions are inconsequential because there are so many other electoral votes to be had and only 270 are needed to win?

No I’m saying that Trump wouldn’t get their votes anyway, and the electoral college system already ostensibly disregards their votes. It pretty much disregards the votes of either minority party’s voters in every state.

Colorado for example has 10 electoral votes. It would be far more democratic and proportional if the voters voted 60%D and 40%R that the D candidate gets 6 EVs and the R candidate gets 4 EVs - but that’s not what happens. The D candidate would get all 10.

This system is how five times in our history a candidate has won with fewer total votes nationwide, but still won the electoral college

But also primary elections aren’t legally enforceable. It’s ultimately the party that decides the candidate

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Monday restored Donald Trump to 2024 presidential primary ballots, rejecting state attempts to hold the Republican former president accountable for the Capitol riot.

The justices ruled a day before the Super Tuesday primaries that states, without action from Congress first, cannot invoke a post-Civil War constitutional provision to keep presidential candidates from appearing on ballots.

They did that with Roe v Wade, and Senate did that with Trump's impeachment. Twice.

Trump is still Hitler and he will still put everyone in concentration camps BUT we can’t get him off the ballot or thrown in prison or shot because “rules and order?”

this definitely all makes sense and is the sign of the system that is wholeheartedly in the interests of the average American
