Not gonna front man I pretty much “re-learn” the basics every time I sit down to code after any kind of break. It just speeds up over time
Hit me up if you ever need help.
The key is literally stackoverflow and grinding
Anyone here go to school for computer science and also have a job that's unrelated to CS? If so, how do you manage?

lot of my friends that studied cs but didn't go into tech went into consulting or business type roles. still heavy on math/stats for the most part tho.
are you in school for cs now and getting cold feet?
I have an onsite interview next week as a 'group session' any of y'all ever had this?
I enjoy programming, I'm really glad I decided to pivot majors into this field. I lack motivation and I've finally found the root of the problem (ADHD) now im trying to figure out what combination of environment and mental state makes me want to program. Theres days I'm excited to work on projects but most days I don't bother learning anything. I'm going to try the Seinfeld calendar method.
my two closest friends at work leaving for microsoft and google in seattle
Dang, are you trying to join one of them at some point?

Would be great, I love Seattle / Pacific Northwest and obv a lot of great companies are out there, but those two are for sure smarter than me lol and with higher degrees. One had a masters, other had a phd, and I only have a bachelors. I’m def not making it past the first round at google lol

Yeah, the Google snapshot was something else. Apparently, if you do some proper leetcode beforehand, it's not bad at all

definitely, I’m not a great programmer but practiced a lot of algo stuff for about a month and passed the first one
but at the same time its pretty motivating. im gonna do a leetcode question a day for about a year & half starting next year when i begin working. after that, im audi r8 to the big tech companies and collect that 200K+ TC :pog:

What are some career paths for combining biology type stuff with programming? Majoring in neuroscience and immunology but started taking up an interest in programming recently

Bioinformatics
Someone mentioned this in here already but I think the idea of a KTT2 github would be pretty dope. Sharing projects and getting feedback with eachother would be very useful imo.
Maybe someone who has the time and knowledge to manage that (cuz i have neither) could set it up. Maybe @S or someone itt?
