It's actually laughable how Cyberpunk: PL is lauded as one of the best games of the year, and it's an expansion/update to an existing game that was broken and lifeless since its launch 3 years ago

I can't speak to its quality (haven't finished yet) but if a hallmark of the year is devs taking 3 years to make a game great, then where did we go wrong

phantom liberty is new content, what makes it great is separate from the base game. So conflating PL having good reception with the base game taking years to fix is a bad faith take.

Games made solely to appeal to the masses. Only focused on attracting the desired audience and stealing every € is why the AAA market and all its games turned to s*** especially in regards to new ideas.

Gaming has never looked so good and all they can make is half assed open world action games with a cinematic story. If gaming ever makes a new step or develops new genres and gameplay it wont come from the industry but from outsiders who have an actual idea
