Guys is it pointless to apply rn to whatever corporate job that’s been posted? I don’t wanna waste all this time filling out an application knowing they won’t even call for an interview. Are you guys waiting till everything is open to apply?
I got applications from February and March still pending so idk how applying now will make any difference when literally every thing is on freeze
Not that much in the grand scheme of things, if America never locked down and did life as normal we'd be at 6 million dead.
Hero that is so insensitive

bro no offense but you keep posting this s*** like you have a masters degree in accounting and only applied for a few jobs? we're in an economic crisis..
try applying for 100+ jobs this week and see where that takes you
also lay off the plenty of fish and talking to ugly women, and maybe even lay off the ktt
there's still companies hiring: candor.co/hiring-freezes heres a good starter if you're open to applying to tech companies and fortune 500s

A friend of mine applied to few corporate jobs within finance and data fields. He told me he had few interviews online and that’s about it, no one called back. I’m in the same situation rn. I’m waiting till things cool down a little bit so we could at least have an idea what to expect in the summer and then maybe start applying.

I got you! I think I’ll wait till mid May! I went on LinkedIn and indeed and they still keep showing the same job postings from almost two months ago

anything pre-corona probably got thrown out bro
think about this from a hiring perspective, this time is just as crazy for them. i'm sure they're getting inundated with applications
i'm only going hard on you because of that thread i read. i feel for you but at the same time you gotta do things on your own right now and learned helplessness isn't going to get you anywhere
also if you were only getting a few responses from over 300 real applications before this crisis in the best job market in quite some time, you are definitely doing something wrong with your cover letter or resume

I was applying to out of state positions in Texas and that’s why I wasn’t getting call backs. I wanna move outta state and idk what other way to do it. I put it on my resume and cover letter that I was willing to relocate and also did not need relocation assistance. I even got in touch with recruiters from Houston and they would just ghost me. Idk what else to do bro? How else am I supposed to relocate when I have literally stated I’m open to relocating as long as I get the job

yeah bro i would legit not tell them you are out of state for example
you save that until they start discussing comp with you and even then i'd probably wait if i could in a lot of instances

Bro they clearly know I’m out of state when they see my resume. I went to college in a different state and also my work experience is in the same state I went to college in. I had one interviewer straight up ask me: “just to be clear, are you in Houston or Illinois”. There’s no way around it I talked to recruiters and they told me to make i let them know right off the bat that I’m willing to relocate and I don’t need relocating assistance.
