Retail asked me to come back. I said no , hope this doesn’t f*** with my UI benefits

    Same b

My job is understandable though, they said I can come back when I want. Gonna use this UI to pay for the rest of my school for the next month or so before I come back to work

  • May 4, 2020

I was watching a youtube video and they said that if you leave yourself a long voicemail and fill up your inbox so that you're job can't leave you a voicemail then they can't fire you Try it if you're brave

I really don’t think amazon gives af about calling workers back when they can just replace them, which they kinda did last month.

They started taking my upt - attendance points and when it gets zero I’ll be fired. But I’m currently in the 4th week of getting unemployment so I doubt I’d get cut off from it.

"The Trump administration projects about 3,000 daily deaths by early June.

As President Trump presses for states to reopen their economies, his administration is privately projecting a steady rise in the number of cases and deaths from the coronavirus over the next several weeks, reaching about 3,000 daily deaths on June 1, according to an internal document obtained by The New York Times, nearly double from the current level of about 1,750.

The projections, based on government modeling pulled together in chart form by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, forecast about 200,000 new cases each day by the end of the month, up from about 25,000 cases now.

The numbers underscore a sobering reality: While the United States has been hunkered down for the past seven weeks, not much has changed. And the reopening to the economy will make matters worse."

Bro I kinda get that man but life eventually has to move on. There are 26+ year olds like me stuck at our parents house wasting what’s barely left of our youth with no job, no place of our own, no dating life. Nothing. I understand this is more than that, but the world needs to realize that people are dead ass depressed out of their minds being rebellious, fighting, and killing themselves.

I have been stuck in my parents shadow for 26 plus years and now when I’m finally done with school I should be living my own life but that opportunity is being robbed. Half this year is gone and I haven’t done a single thing work wise, dating wise, or just simply accomplishing little things

Stop being a p**** bruh, you act like life end at 27. You'll be ight

I’m in kind of similar situation as you are and honestly there’s nothing we can do. I know it’s very frustrating and it’s definitely taking a toll on me but you just have to stay strong and keep your head up. You do realize this is not going to last forever, things will go back to normal eventually. We just have to give some time and find right solutions on how to go about this pandemic without making it worse. I don’t think anyone is happy about this and everyone is frustrated one way or another. Just know this is temporary and people out here having much worse than you are but we just have to stay strong and positive until it’s all over.

Come up with excuses on top of excuses. I know I’m getting fired for my attendance soon, no one really hasn’t called me just some automated email bs but I doubt they would take my benefits away for fire me over attendance

I got fired from Walmart over attendance I just stop going and I was able to get unemployment from them after they fired me. I’m getting unemployment right now while I’m still employed to amazon but I want them to fire me cause it’s a s*** job all in all , they haven’t been taking s*** seriously they just care about the business.

Idk about your state but I think in NY if you get fired you don’t get the unemployment. I wouldn’t mind actually working if it’s only few days a week, then I still would be able collect the unemployment. My only concern is that I live with my parents at the moment and wouldn’t want to put them at risk.

Respect bro. But I hate when people say “there’s someone out there having it way worse than you” because it just downplays my the struggle I am going through. There’s also people that are doing a lot better than I am too if you wanna see it that way

But I get your point. What’s frustrating is that there is no f***ing timeline to when all this will end and that’s what’s depressing me

Hmm idk I’m in MO but I’m already getting my checks I’m at my 4th week with it. I don’t think amazon is able to cut me off at this point. Maybe can file a appeal.

Yea I did it for fam reasons but I’m legit making more by not going to work
