I would like to see similar, lasting surges in nations that have reopened before I take this model seriously. A month long, 10x daily increase in cases after a plateau would be unprecedented throughout the world at this time.

We'll see what happens in Italy, Spain and Germany before we see it here.

This keeps getting worse and people want to open the country up right now.

See that’s different, you didn’t get fired. If you’re on unemployment and your job calls you to work and you decline then you don’t get the benefits anymore since there a job available but you’re refusing to accept it.

Even if it’s some bullshit non essential retail job in a hot zone in NJ ?

So I should say yes when offered a job even tho I’m not willing to work?

  • May 4, 2020

I miss the tasks force briefings

  • May 4, 2020

The only not-terrible thing about these protests is that outbreaks of more than 3 cases are not being traced back to outdoor activity.

It's highly unlikely that we would experience a surge because of these idiots and sending workers back into office buildings is far more dangerous.

    But still...they trash.

I believe as long as your job deemed as essential then you would have to. If your job is nonessential, then I believe it’s illegal for them to force you to work.
Again I’m not an expert, it would be best if you check your state’s unemployment website for further answers. Or hit Reddit and check their unemployment subreddit.
