Over 30,000 recoveries in the US today. At least one good thing.

41,000 tests reported in Cali today, damn.

We were doing that much per week back in March.

Illinois numbers shot up because they turned in 29,000 tests today, up from 13,000 last Tuesday.

I would like to clarify one more thing because it was a discussion here a few hours ago: just because we have carried out most of the tests so far, we don't test equally well. Not at all. Not even far.

Nobody can tell me that our testing is relatively good except California. Look at Russia, they test 200,000 people a day. Sometimes even up to 250,000 people. They will catch up with us in the long run. They also test random people, not just those with symptoms. We have to be better soon and not just us. Every country needs to go this route.

New York only tests between 20,000 to 25,000 people every day. This is miserable.

Almost every major state MUST test between 40,000 and 50,000 people a day. No excuses count here, they have to sort out those who have the virus. No matter whether asymptomatic or not.

It's even worse with India. They only tested 1,75 million people so far. They have over 1.3 billion people. This is crazy and almost inhumane. Who knows how many people have it there at this point.

The US is starting to catch up with the rest of the world by capita; believe it or not, we're only 3,000 per million behind Germany: 33,000 vs 30,000. And we're right behind Canada.

But it has taken, what, two months of being an absolute joke to get us to even be average? Trump needs to stop jerking himself off over mediocrity and be a leader. We aren't a model for anything except discord.

That's what I mean and just because our numbers are currently "only" between 20,000 and 25,000 cases doesn't mean we are getting better at all. This s*** can blow up again at any time in several states.

Objectively though, it is good that we had like 700 less deaths than last Tuesday. I was told that we would be averaging 3,000 a day by the beginning of June but the numbers are going down.

That is fantastic and good, no question, but especially for our country it is so difficult to make any rough predictions about how it will go on in the next weeks. We just have to hope.
