Concert venues? Idk bout that one tbh. That's thousands in one setting
What the f***
80+ ppl got infected from a small gay club in SK by ONE PERSON
How is this allowed?? If I was a bordering state I’d shut my borders down and deploy the national guard to prevent anyone from Georgia on entering my state
Honestly I blame Tyler with Camp Flog Gnaw. I swore I got really sick after his show when Drake showed up, and it was all down hill from there
I would like to clarify one more thing because it was a discussion here a few hours ago: just because we have carried out most of the tests so far, we don't test equally well. Not at all. Not even far.
Nobody can tell me that our testing is relatively good except California. Look at Russia, they test 200,000 people a day. Sometimes even up to 250,000 people. They will catch up with us in the long run. They also test random people, not just those with symptoms. We have to be better soon and not just us. Every country needs to go this route.
New York only tests between 20,000 to 25,000 people every day. This is miserable.
Almost every major state MUST test between 40,000 and 50,000 people a day. No excuses count here, they have to sort out those who have the virus. No matter whether asymptomatic or not.
It's even worse with India. They only tested 1,75 million people so far. They have over 1.3 billion people. This is crazy and almost inhumane. Who knows how many people have it there at this point.
There are small towns in Italy supplying better testing than NYC one of the biggest cities in the fkn world
NYC has been a total cluster f***
Holy crap, 70,000 recoveries in one day. That's the highest jump yet.
Active cases only jumped by like 9,000 today, in the whole world.
I know I asked this a few days ago but again... how the f*** can Mexico already have around 26,000 recoveries? How is that possible with over 38,000 cases in general and it increases like hell. They had 6-7 days ago 26,000 cases.
I think they don't know how this is working lol. Same for Panama.
this makes 0 sense. where are people supposed to put their masks while they're in the water? even in your swimsuit has pockets your mask is ineffective when it's wet....
From the data it looks like today was the first day that the US had a decrease in active cases. The recoveries outweighed the new cases

when "out" of water

Big jump in recoveries and a big drop in deaths from last Tuesday. About 30%, actually.
There was a lot of bad/ominous news today, but the numbers were really reassuring. This is why I always try to keep my eyes on the data first and foremost; everyone has their own agenda and will give you the amount of information necessary to get their point across, but you can always dig a little deeper to get the full picture.

I think everyone accepted were in this for the LONG haul today is why it feels so somber
We have probably around 500,000 recoveries already. Some states aren't giving really updates about this and some are just beginning with it, that's why we have sometimes higher spikes than usual.

I think the reopening situation is a lot more complicated than it appears (too complicated to make sense), so it's easy to just assume lockdown will continue forever as a coping mechanism. I get that.
There are people who honestly believe that we will be locked in our homes forever, especially younger people who don't have great perspective on things. They're scared. I'm scared too, but right now this is just a blip in the course of human history.
It is wild though to live through 9/11, the recession, and now be in the midst of one of the worst pandemics of the last 100 years. It's like, s***, what's next? lol
brazil, russia, mexico and south africa now all experiencing massive surges and high number of deaths :/
looks like we are going to be in for a LONG summer.
im totally fine with people being granted the civil liberties of being told what to do during the virus, and having personal have-says over what they should do in public
However, if this is a RISK then we're just spreading the virus more, I hate the pesmisstic view point that we cannot control the virus, thats just stupid. We do have that power, the toss up is just having our economies suffer in some shape or form, u need to be incredibly careful in public, and need way more protection to keep the spread of this

Same for Peru, Chile, Colombia, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and so on. All of them experiencing huge outbreaks at the moment except India because they testing is worse.
Meanwhile Putin said people needs to go back to work starting today and with huge easings.
also why are people saying "testing can be wrong we can be wrong about numbers" wtf yeah we can but if we comply and follow the surge model, and protect a lot more people s*** can go down
the jimmy fallon show with no audience is the most uncomfortable s*** i’ve ever watched
Let’s ride https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/unreleased-white-house-report-shows-coronavirus-rates-spiking-heartland-communities-n1204751

our inhabitants (alabama) are as stupid as Georgia's, only difference is Kay Ivey is an old bat who values life and Brian Kemp is Trump if he was utterly ed
I say all that to say we're not blocking that state
Pretty interesting map to play around with
Most useful feature on here is that it predicts when an area is going to peak in cases at the bottom of each estimate.
USA 93% likely peaked (7% chance we'll pass 36,000 cases in a day again)
Cali 88%
NY 100%
Texas 72%
Virginia 65%
Canada 95%
Sweden 71%
Brazil 59%
Russia 9%
India 2%
This does NOT account for a second wave, only the first.
im bored of doing the same this everyday single day fam
Sorry im late. Try and do little things that are different every day. Write em down so they are made legitimate. The feeling that progress is being made is the most important part of actually getting the ball moving for me. Idk, Ive found that organizing life on paper has helped me a s*** ton for this. Small goals and a little written self accountability can go a long way if you repeat it. Also if you write it down don't only put things that are "productive" put the fun stuff to. Hope Im even somewhat on the ball
