What I mean is bars and clubs are places I used to frequent before the pandemic, but I haven’t been inside one of those places since.

And although I enjoy going out, I’ve vocally condemned people I know for running out to these places as soon as they’ve opened back up. I definitely want to get back to clubbing and bar hopping, but frankly now is not the time, so giving into those desires would be hypocritical of me, hence “you know better.”

What’s really important to me right now is the welfare of my friends, family, and community during this pandemic and BLM movement. All that other s*** can wait.

If that means ordering take out and spending my Saturday nights at home, I feel like I’ll be able to find a way to survive like that just fine for a while. It requires such a small amount of sacrifice but so many are too privileged to be willing to sacrifice anything at all.

America is going through a lot right now. Going to the club or going to brunch is so ridiculously far down on my list of priorities right now that I should be ashamed if I got caught there. Unfortunately many people do not feel the same way.

I was driving by a few restaurants on my way to the grocery store this past Saturday and they were fkn PACKED. they have all these social distancing guidelines in the front but then pack tables and the outdoor seating areas are full

I understand if younger ppl are living alone but if ur still living with ur parents or elders and out here going to resturants and bars shame on you

I think being isolated f***s w/ a lot of people's mind's that are insecure or unable to be left to their own thoughts for awhile so they'll literally sacrifice anything to distract them from it. Isolation is weird that way, some people prefer it & some would rather die than be alone for a few days/weeks.

I under the desire to want to go out and do the things you did before the pandemic, but I don’t understand how people find it enjoyable with all the rules in place.

At this point, I still see my friends. We still get together to eat or have a few drinks but we do it elsewhere for now. Like I’m perfectly fine ordering takeout and eating it outside somewhere else or just taking it home and drinking at the crib with like 2 of my friends is okay for now. I don’t understand the need to go sit down on a restaurant right now and be waited on.
