A. this stupid concept of "the media" being some giant monolith that acts in a predestined pattern is holding the collective intelligence of this country back by ALOT. Does some outlets play with wording they'll know will incite their viewers? yes, to some degree. but that's not an absolute, and it's definitely not going to always affect a ton of people. HOWEVER,

B. If a party that represents over half of the countries social ideals is parroting a belief, and that belief seems very incendiary, very hot button...then ofc the media, as any American business does, will saturate that belief (or product) into every mind they can. That's good business. Fox News, Breitbart, Alex Jones, whoever, is promoting a set of ideals that will guarantee them success.
