It's so crazy to me how much in a different world we've been living for almost a year at this point.

Can't speak for down south states where everything is open, I'm speaking from NYC perspective.

Life just feels so dull, everything feels so different. Reminds me of the world after Thanos snapped half of the people out of existence.

Legit feels like we entered some new reality.

Never in my life have I imagined life just abruptly stopping, it always felt like it was speeding on endless empty road.

Things are open but noone takes the virus seriously so its scary when you live in small towns but like 1/30 of your population catches a case damn near everyday

I cant speak to the entire south but its cognitive dissonance in my college town. there'll be moments where it feels like covid is a real thing...then you go to the bar strips and there's lines across the block

Why? Because Old people dying at their normal death rate doesn’t indicate the vaccine is dangerous? Use your f***ing brain man. Spreading alarmist bs is what’s going to keep people from being safe

no one's spreading s*** if this was a non story, Norway's government wouldn't have bothered to investigate it you bozo. Even Pfizer admitted that subset of people was a relative lapse in their coverage during trials

hiding cases that doesn't fit your agenda is some Trump s***

"Following the deaths, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health updated its Covid-19 vaccination guide with more detailed advice on inoculating elderly people who are frail or terminally ill.
The new guidance says doctors should evaluate each individual patient to determine whether the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks of any potential side effects."

HMM...so this story ("alarming s***"), led to a change in to a change in Norway's procedure...yet there's no relevancy in this situation

    google.com/amp/s/www.livescience.com/amp/allergic-reactions-moderna-covid-19-vaccine.html

“Between Dec. 21 and Jan. 10, more than 4.04 million people were given Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine, but only 10 developed a serious, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction called anaphylaxis. That works out to be around 2.5 cases of anaphylaxis per 1 million people vaccinated, according to the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.

It's not yet clear what's causing the severe allergies, but nine out of 10 of these cases occurred among patients with previously known allergies (five previously had anaphylaxis). Most had
allergies to various medicines such as penicillin, but one had environmental and food allergies and another didn't have any prior known allergies, according to the report.”

Possibly bound to go up a good bit with more people taking it, and specifically more that don’t know their allergy history, such as the medical professionals + at risks that have been first to get theirs. But it’s a very endearing rate. Pfizer’s is a good bit higher than moderna which is why I had intended to wait for the latter if I wasn’t offered it

    I’m allergic to penicillin

  • Jan 25, 2021

2 days after my 2nd vaccine dose.
I had a slightly sore arm, and I was very drowsy last night, but other than that I have had no other symptoms

I cant promise that someone else won't get worse side effects than I had, but don't let these anti vaxxers scare you in to being afraid of the vaccine

    I’m allergic to penicillin

Imo the solution for the seriously allergic types is to wait for the normal brand of vaccines, I.E the JNJ one. Obviously talk this over with a professional and not just some Joe blow, but there will definitely be an alternative for you guys one day

I mean, of those 4 million people thst got it, only 10 had a reaction. I’m sure at least a million of those people have some sort of allergies

There is something perversely amusing about antivax Trump stans who screamed CHINA DID THIS TO US AHHHH CHINA!!! now being on the same side as China about the vaccines. China's done such a dogshit job with the sinovac rollout that they've resorted to calling the pfizer and moderna vaccines dangerous and spreading conspiracy theories about the virus' origin.

f*** me too. But I never had that reaction before. So I'll hopefully be fine by summer when I get it.
