About 20 elderly people in nursing homes, 80+, died in Norway from side effects of taking the Pfizer vaccine
https://nypost.com/2021/01/15/23-die-in-norway-after-receiving-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine/
Some Pfizer spokeperson came out later and said something to the effect of not having as many tests subjects that fit the elderly and frail billing. Not trying to sway anyone one way or the other, but this is why it’s important to see the results of trials before you make your decision
They died at their normal death rate in that age group. This is alarmist junk
Uk
Yeah I saw that
The data they have on it is super weak, mortality differences could come down to hospital strain, seasonality spreading it to older populations more efficiently, etc.
Right now it sounds like it's possible that it could be worse but we don't have enough credible data to say
The UK government has done a terrible job communicating about the virus so I'll take their word with a grain of salt
Got a vaccine appt for Monday, but reading these VAERS testimonials got me
imma follow thru but man

fam I dont see what you gain from being this bluntly dismissive
its just an article reporting on a situation that even Pfizer admitted they didn't have the most data on, when referencing clinical trials. ALL of these companies are having their products continuously monitored in the revelation of serious VAERS cases, and you're just going to consider it "junk"? lol.
If you want to phrase this post in a way that adds SOMETHING of substance, reference this: wcpo.com/news/coronavirus/fact-check-friday-no-proof-covid-19-vaccine-contributed-to-norway-deaths
"Every day, an average of 45 people die in Norwegian nursing homes or other similar institutions. When vaccinating such a group, deaths will inevitably occur shortly after the vaccine is administered. The vast majority of those who have been vaccinated appear not to have suffered any adverse reaction to the vaccine. A characteristic of the deaths is that they have occurred amongst nursing home residents who are very frail and have serious underlying illnesses.”

Thanks for re-explaining that it is indeed junk.

I’m pretty sure it’s evaluated state by state though right?

True. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was being said by the UK gov to sort of “scare” people into complying with the lockdown.
Because they did say in the paper that hospitalizations haven’t seen a significant bump or anything to correlate with a higher mortality rate.
Vaccines are the only thing I see getting the US out of this though, motherfuckers like Texas (where I am) will never lock back down.
Hell, our government was threatening to pull vaccines out of Dallas because the Dallas body was discussing whether or not they should focus on vaccine distribution in more vulnerable areas (which of course are predominantly black and Hispanic).

The pue s*** was also an executive order and every state does it now

I assume there has to be some sort of employment window or something right?
I mean otherwise you could just apply for a job at a place where you KNOW the measures are lax as f***, then quit and site those lax measures as your reason for quitting.
If that is the case though, I’m not complaining.
So now this variant could be more deadly
The source of that is Neil Ferguson, a discredited scientist who resigned last year after he broke his own lockdown rules to have an affair. Damn near every negative headline coming out of the Uk can be traced back to him since he somehow kept his position in SAGE and is now advising Boris again. This is the same guy that created a model that predicted half a billion people would die of the "bird flu" in 2005. Don't worry about it, he's full of s***.

These people need to be checked into a mental facility with all their attention seeking behaviors
It's so crazy to me how much in a different world we've been living for almost a year at this point.
Can't speak for down south states where everything is open, I'm speaking from NYC perspective.
Life just feels so dull, everything feels so different. Reminds me of the world after Thanos snapped half of the people out of existence.
Legit feels like we entered some new reality.
Never in my life have I imagined life just abruptly stopping, it always felt like it was speeding on endless empty road.
