Once vaccination rates hit 50-60%, it's a wrap. We won't see total eradication for a long time, maybe ever, but there won't be a pandemic in the United States at that point.

only way I see eradication is if we got to 80% like worldwide but I don’t think that’s ever happening unless forced.
also meant to say 50 not 40. we’re almost to 50. Israel pretty much wiped out covid with just 50 %

this article was published at a very unfortunate time. I hope that no one thought we were actually going to eradicate this thing, and the author is framing scientists saying that it's never going away as some sort of apocalyptic thing. It's not. It's gonna be like a flu and while people will still get it every year, we will be able to treat it and stop it from surging.
