People really out there saying this s***

“We’re smart enough to know what we want and what we don’t want done with our bodies and as long as we do our research and do those decisions, that should be our right,” said citizen Diana Smith.

At this point f*** it, we’re going to Balkanize anyway and I’ll just make sure to never go to Ohio with their gross asses

/s but really we’re never getting rid of this s***

This getting in the brain now?

It’s been affecting the brain, we now just have peer reviewed proof. But yeah, the fact that it was f***ing with the olfactory system was a terrible sign

I'm really shook and not sure what to do. I don't think I've caught this yet and I've been extremely isolated for almost two years now due to health reasons but that can't continue forever but this s*** might really f*** me up...

Was hoping that after two years it would evolve into something way less dangerous/similar to more every day coronaviruses and while that's happened to some degree with omicron if the fundamentals still got this virus f***ing up anything and everything in your body...man

I’m sorry we’re still in this s*** fam society has straight up failed you and everyone else at high risk.

The good news is, like you said, that omicron and the BAs indicate some manner of mutation away from the prime strain’s worst symptoms. We’ve also got the vaccines if you’re able to get them, which are obviously far from perfect but do still offer protection. But as of now, it seems like everyone has accepted a baseline of cases and deaths on an ongoing basis as an exchange for not having to mask up anymore or care about anyone who can’t risk infection. Which is obviously f***ing bullshit and all I can do is hope that we get our heads out of our asses before some new wave forces us to.

Nah don't apologize, much larger forces than any one individual at play for why we're still dealing with this plauge but it's very appreciated, thank you

My concern is more so with the idea that even mild/no symptom infection can leave long lasting/permanent damage.

Covid is endemic now, highly virulent and seems to evolve fast and often enough that even with being up to date with your vaccinations you can still get this s*** multiple times in a year and at the very least it seems like we're all going to get this multiple times in our lifetimes.

I was really hoping that this would weaken into something closer to the cold/flu in terms of impact after a few years/heavy spread but that now seems foolhardy considering the basis of how covid attacks the body and because of that I'm scared that's never changing.

So from now on there's just something out there everywhere that could you leave with life altering aftereffects and/or leaves you more vulnerable to potential life altering effects whenever you're infected next????

Considering that on an individual level and the collective (the massive number of people already dealing with long covid and the strain that puts on multiple systems worldwide) man...

You’re right on all counts and, I hate to say it, but I’ve honestly kind of given up on any kind of solutions. I’ve not gotten it yet either (knock on wood) and will continue to wear my n95 whenever I feel like it because f*** it, everyone else is doing what they want and I want to not be sick so

Idk man. It really does feel like our leadership failed us. And it sucks because I don’t like having been the guy reminding everyone around me about the danger for the past two years. This isn’t sustainable, but then when has that stopped us societally from doing something when the alternative is mild I convenience lol

Same, only drawback to the masking is that it makes flirting and signal reading that much harder.

I’m curious to know whether or not many of the people who no longer wear mask are completely in the dark to the effects of COVID outside of hospitalization/death.

Bro I hate to say it but I’ve kind of stopped caring at this point. I have plenty of those people in my life and I know at least one is well aware of the effects, but entirely attributes them to the vax instead of COVID and therefore thinks they’re good being unvaxxed. So… yeah. At this point, their worldview seems so warped that I don’t even feel the need to meet them in the middle. I just mask up and go on about my life

I’d like to think there’s something innate in my immune system that’s keeping me from getting infected, but I know that’s gotta be bullshit

my only guess is that my lungs is so coated in cannabis that the virus just gets couchlocked on impact and so has no effect

I’ve been taking Vit D, C, Magnesium and Zinc for the last couple years now, so I’m wondering if maybe that’s helped at all

Last night my fever hit 102.9 in the middle of the night. Got out of bed and put wet towels on my forehead and neck, and I also took some Ibuprofen. It brought my temp down to 100 thankfully.
I was miserable af all night though, today my temp is staying at 99 though
