Fr unless Apple adds mouse support there’s no point
you can use bluetooth mouses (not the wireless mouses with USB adapters, but bluetooth) for iPads
Yea but there’s still a lot of features that are missing and there’s no vst support like on pc/mac
There’s plenty of synth apps like korg that are basically VSTs and then you can record that to koala and manipulate it in there
Yeah GarageBand ain’t great, koala and a synth app tho is crazy
No ones tryna shuffle through apps tho
some of my best lo fi tracks were produced and recorded on an iphone 6 garageband ios. its good thing to use when working on ur composition skills.
But yea i cam def see ios apps beeing part of the future of beatmaking
No ones tryna shuffle through apps tho
2 apps open bruh lmao, honestly I hate using vsts I find this easier
You can barely do the basic things with it, hell no
False u can do alot with it

It doesn't compare to an actual production program like Ableton or Logic Pro
Of course, newer producers readily gravitate toward iPads as well. Producer 20, who collaborated with DaBaby on “Walker Texas Ranger,” also appreciates the convenience of iPads. LA’s Ye Ali—who has worked with Chris Brown, Juicy J, and Joyner Lucas—said there’s less pressure when producing on iOS.
“Making beats on the iPad is so impersonal that you end up making your best music because there’s no pressure,” Ali said. “It’s like the same thing as people texting intimate, deep thoughts via text, but can’t convey it while talking on the phone… I made the melody for a beat on my phone via Garage Band and sold it for $10,000 a month later.”
Other producers who have made beats on iOS devices include Mannie Fresh and Steve Lacy. Fresh previously revealed that he produced 2 Chainz’s “Used 2” on an iPad, while Lacy has produced songs by The Internet and Kendrick Lamar using an iPhone. In addition, Gorillaz’s mastermind Damon Albarn used an iPad to record the entirety of the virtual band’s 2010 album, The Fall.
its wonderful for composition but the extra flavors like mxng, samplng, creating drum kits, etc are all off the table

Of course not. But if u just a beginner, its perfect
You can’t even manipulate sample tempos on garageband ios 😭😭😭
Beat maker 3 and koala are superior (for hip hop at least)

i believe you but an app called “beat maker 3” just feels cheap
I think like most things it will be abstracted in a way that allows people to use phones to make professional grade beats but I think most producers will stop opt for a full workstation
Full disclosure not a beat maker but haven’t worked in low code developement platforms and I assume the theory holds true here as well

Trust me I know lmao
It’s still a great app for production though
