African Americans often get far too infatuated with the 2nd part of their ethnic identity, being American. American superiority is a well established concept and the successor to European dominance and I often see niggas who claim to hold disdain towards the system, become complacent with it once their nationalistic pride is in jeopardy. All the American government has to do is create external threats (Like the middle east, Vietnam etc etc) and people scream "protect our democracy!" which is why America is able to meddle in geopolitics the way it does, with little to no severe backlash. Saying s*** like "its the greatest country on the earth" only doubles down on such complacent ignorance as you quickly fall blind to it's many faults outside of your own ethnic struggle, causing the "living in a bubble" effect we see with Americans across the board.

My original point was while I understand African Americans hold a great sense of pride for their achievements and fight for liberation given their tumultuous history, I could never as a nigga pride myself in a country which I know has and still does hold great disdain towards my people through systematic destruction. Hence why I said you like to pick and choose aspects of white supremacy, because American superiority on a global scale is owed to white supremacy.
