Just unnecessary. Animation is a valid medium for storytelling. Things like this imo work to it’s detriment.

Better to adapt mediocre/shitty anime to live action, than the classics because they’ll never live up to how they were truly envisioned to be, which is in anime form.

It needs to be HBO with some good directors who will follow the manga to the letter and not suddenly think they’re geniuses who can write it better like D&D did. It’s the only way a AoT live action is gonna work.

And if this s***show proves anything it’s that cinematography counts. A live action AoT that gives both the medieval and WWI aesthetic like this will make all the difference.
