Arrow Academy releasing A Trip to the Moon and Cinema Paradiso UHD

    overpriced as f***

sure the book is bound to be nice since it's the first english autobiography translation (with illustrations by arrow)..

in my opinion arrow booklets and books are quite underwhelming, half of the s*** is just pictures in most cases.

the book will be published through others sooner or later since i doubt they even can hold on to someone else's autobio like that

£45 is just way too much for that set

cinema paradiso on the other hand too bad they didn't do the directors cut in UHD (not really interested in the 4K format personally but it's definitely an L on their part)

i see on the blu-ray forum most of them are cooming for 4K UHD criterion films, but i don't really care about top-of-the-line quality than just a blu-ray that looks great.

agreed blu-ray's good enough for me lol

criterion doesn't even wanna move out of DVD's due to the profits and they're expecting 4Ks lmao

similar to Warner Archive though but some of the titles should be on blu-ray like The Hill. However, there are some in the collection could possibly get a remaster or new resto. Trouble In Paradise is a perfect contender

Flash Sales are nice but shipping can be annoying. I've also had cases break in the mail. So the idea of no B&N sale is horrible...

You'd think B&N would need the sale now more than ever

Might be related to shipping concerns

there's a lot of blu-rays with new masters out in europe that criterion need to grab and port over or do their own transfers on

z, diary of a country priest and le feu follet being a few

it seems that criterion are getting some studiocanal titles back. since kino lorber didn't get le cercle rouge I assume criterion is gonna get it back.

plus we'll def see la strada and nights of cabiria in blu in the fellini set which are SC, maybe white sheik too

Random thought: Anyone else listening to the "You Must Remember This" Podcast right now? This season they're going through Polly Platt's works

For Fellini, this will come in with the boxset they're planning

caught la dolce vita with the new 4K restoration a month or so ago. was a long time ago since I saw a torrented version of the criterion but this one looked less squishy/warped, then again it was on a big theatre screen so it could be that too

Apparently, it might be the older 4K resto but what's the difference
