They removed wall running
I can understand why.
It likely made level designs a nightmare to figure out, because when it comes to wall running you pretty much need long, flat surfaces for it to actually be useful, so attempting to put enough of those in order for it not feel totally worthless but ALSO maintain a consistent/cohesive art design that doesn’t look too gamey or jarring within the context of an open world was probably just too much.
And that’s not even including all the collision issues they were likely having.

Their last game was one of the best games of the gen.
This one also has a fantastic aesthetic

I think the delays are good. I'm expecting the gameplay to be much better than what we saw

Short answer? Their previous release was a gigantic success.
The developers (CDPR) are also a company who clearly take pride and enjoyment in genuinely creating products to be proud of, rather than lucrative cash grabs. That’s a little rare in the Triple A industry now.
Gameplay does look a little bit janky, but it’s been addressed by myself and a few others a few pages back (I.E. gameplay is normally the weaker part of CDPR’s games - storyline; freedom of choice; and branches out decision trees tend to be the focus).
My biggest concern is the voice acting. The Witcher 3 was near flawless with that. The footage we’ve seen of Cyberpunk 2077 is a bit iffy. It might just be me, I’m not the hugest fan of American voice acting in video games.
The aesthetic is another point too, yeah. “Cyberpunk” is a gaming nerd’s dream backdrop for a game.

oh so they’re the one’s who made witcher? explains alot
i‘m not into futuristic games at all, but this game makes it look good tbh
however, i’m not a big fan of the FP perspective so i‘m just gonna watch a walkthrough of it
hope yall enjoy this regardless though
appreciate your response
After playing The Last of Us II, where the game was super fluid and responsive, the gameplay for this & even driving mechanics look super rigid and arcadey
Still excited and impressed to see what they’ve done with the world but with all the time and delay you’d think the gameplay would look a bit more smooth
I really hope I’m wrong
