I actually get angry every time I'm reminded of this game
i really expected this to be another game like witcher where id play it for hundreds of hours then think of it and get happy about how great it is but instead we're here
dumb move if they really leave this game to rot
theyve hired so many people and have big plans still
i dont condone waiting over a year for the game to be finished up but i also know that they arent gonna abandon the franchise
right now the game is in a good barebones state, needs a lot of work but it isnt impossible

once per week this game is in the top 10 most sold games on Steam and PS Store
It's f***ing tragic because this just means this game is a success and more companies are cool doing this type of s***

no, that isn't the case
they still lost a lot of profit, they still have lawsuits to settle or pay out losses to, they still lost a lot of talent and the management was still and is probably still stressed every day
all of that isnt worth it, thats why everyone's delaying to polish and some studios are reluctant to reveal too much too early
if a company is greedy they wouldnt want to deal with all of that lost $$$$$ thats literally the opposite of greed
also if CDPR finishes the game before next E3 and really does want to keep adding to the world they created that means every other company would ALSO have to do that if they were to launch as bad, once again all of that above isnt worth it, most studios will just delay 1 or 2 years

I hope you are right
I hope you are right
im mad cause i expected it sooner
but its not like theyve totally given up yet
So why does everyone hate this game again? Was acres to buy jt after the initial release, debating if I should get it now. What were the original problems and have they been fixed?

It was mostly people that fell victim to the hype cycle. From what I understand, most people who came into this game with zero expectations thought it was a decent game overall (bugs aside)

Here’s what happened.
Management at CDPR over-promised/under delivered to the shareholders & public. Slaved their devs to work under stupid time constraints (affecting the quality of the game), and refused to push back timelines (instead choosing to hype the game more).
Man, honestly, I had no expectations going in and LOVED the game (on PC). Experienced no crashes (literally), minimal glitches (funny af) & no performance issues. I’ve said time & time again: the story, dialogue, writing, voice acting, plot, music, atmosphere & combat system were all amazing.
RPG elements, decision-based outcomes & AI could’ve been MUCH better.
Starting to wonder if CDPR caught lightning in a Witcher bottle and that was it.

Yes. The previous Witcher games were okay.
Also, the talent who worked on Witcher was pretty much gone during CP2077
Witcher 4 is probably not going to be that good

Who knows, maybe Witcher 4 is when they get their s*** together? Most of the team leaving doesn't give me much hope tho but we'll see

So nobody from W3 was involved with CP2077?

What happened to the devs that worked on W3? They got poached? CDPR should’ve offered more money if so.

Are the original glitches and problems fixed now? Should I get this? I play on ps5 btw, idk if that affects the answers to the questions I just had. Thanks for the feedback btw
