DS2 is great unless you’ve got garbage taste in games

it´s not great but passable come on now. You dont have to lie to yourself.
I probably died more times in Forest of the Fallen Giants than in any other level in DS2
it was probably just me getting used to the game, but that game’s full of tough levels and enemy placement
Okay good. That’s reassuring, knowing it’s not just me

i would never tell a lie, especially to myself.

I've played about 2h and I'm enjoying it so far tbh. It has a different yet great atmosphere to it and the music is beautiful
Combat was taking a while to get into, especially after playing ds3 but I like that it feels more strategic in a way

Yeah trying to experience it without comparing to other souls games to
it definitely has a certain unique charm to it

Just wrapped that one up! Some of the areas are killer.
If you ever think a bonfire to boss walk is too hard try google if there are any hidden bonfires closer to it
And it seems like mage/spell caster builds are way more suited to some of the enemies and areas in DS2. I never ever touch that kind of build in games like this but if you do then definitely try it

Appreciate it
Nver tried mage before, dont know why honestly. Was thinking about going for a STR/FTH build as a Knight but might try and include some magic too
How do you feel about the game overall? Loving the sense of exploration and mood of it so far

I loved it! Love a lot of the locations, love the hub world, love the fluidity of the gameplay and animations. And none of the bosses are THAT hard imo and I’m super new to these games. The worlds and enemies are a lot harder.
But yeah I never do mage and usually do strength type knight builds, and did that in DS2
But watching some walk through, some areas seemed so much easier being able to pick people off from far away rather than running in.
But yeah it’s great enjoy your future rage and future satisfaction

I don’t have a gaming rig I mainly just play my ps5. And it’s 40 rn I can wait since I still have DS3 to finish and the dlc, and then demon souls and sekiro although I’ll probably start up sekiro since I think I’m good enough to atleast beat the first couple of oh s*** bosses

Don’t play Sekiro on and off, just play through it once you have time i feel like that’s a better way to play the game and makes it easier
F*** it imma pull the trigger on ds2 that was my fav souls game and I haven’t played the dlc yet

if you played it before the deluxe edition dropped then you haven’t even played the new version of the game with all new enemy + item locations, so that makes it even more worth a cop
new version is hard as s*** tho lmao

Overhated game. I preferred it to DS1.

Yeah I just read the description
Started first one but quitted immediately years ago. Also I think I found some boss that I shouldn't have fought so early and got pawned in few second
I need to find the motivation to become good at this because I'm sure I will love it. Lore and ambientation alone look incredible.
