I genuinely think a reveal like that would at least postpone several suicides across the world

I remember getting pretty deep into Dark Souls on 360 but,Demon Souls is whipping my ass a lil on PS5 lol. I think i need to grind a lil more before i get to Tower Knight tho. Would definitely love a mech game with Dark Souls difficulty

With how renowned From is now I actually wouldn’t be surprised if they get even bigger funding from Sony and start dropping projects more frequently

    S*** at least I hope

Need armored core, bloodborne successor and sekiro successor expeditiously

After elden ring's success from will start to self publish their games so they wont need external funding. Imo this is a best case scenario, their self-published games will have no creative limitations and wont be bound by console exclusive contracts, and with elden ring and maybe other eventual funded ip's we'll get even more games, albeit with the limitations that contracted work has. Think whatever you want about elden ring as a game, but It changed this developer's trajectory, theres no turning back. To think they could make a game like sekiro or bb without too much censoring, sequels not gutted by relatively poor performance and dlcs excites me, and works like elden ring 2 would still be made

What censoring was done on BB and sekiro? I feel like From has pretty much had full creative freedom for multiple games now

would be GOAT, that combat system is too good to have it contained to just one game

Maybe not bloodborne, but for example games like DS3 and even elden ring have some censoring to lower the cero rating in Japan. Doesnt mean from will 100% go all the way through with the gore now that theyre technically independent but with their own projects they arent bound by those things. Also with creative limitations i also meant making or not making sequels, dlcs, games outside of the main genres they tackle etc.

DS3 is GREAT so far, waited to get a PS5 for that buttery smooth 60fps, was legit thrown off by how reasonable the bonfire gaps were lol, missed some and just thought the run-backs were that long

DS3 continues to kick ass but I swear the enemy placements are slightly randomised with each spawn, I'm used to memorising the enemy's walk cycles but this time they're usually in a different place in the cycle when I awaken at a bonfire

I don't remember that... they do walk around though so maybe you're standing at a bonfire for a bit before walking out

Nah I end up doing similar things every time like a rat figuring out the quickest path in a maze, so my timings are pretty consistent, but like sometimes I'll be heading for the stairs leading up to the big door where the rotted tree boss is and the fat witch woman will sometimes be at the top of them or somewhere in the complete opposite direction

If it's not a known feature of the game, the only thing I can think of that might affect it is the increased framerate on PS5? It seems to run fine on PC though, but DS1 and Bloodborne start to do weird things when you mess with the framerate, like in DS1 your character's speed is directly tied to the framerate, and makes some jumps impossible

Could be nothing, but I've definitely noticed areas being less predictable when I return to them

Going from Yhorm to the dancer straight away is some s***

  • Just finished DS1 the other day

My official ranking having beat them all now is
    Sekiro > Bloodborne = Elden Ring > DS3 > DeS > DS1 > DS2

Beat the Crystal Sage in DS3, still early days but man the bosses in this game are so cool, the Demon's Souls remake is great, but I feel like Miyazaki's direction is necessary for the atmosphere that makes Souls games feel like home

Finished the DS3 main story last night. Those last few bosses really keep you on your toes. Now onto the DLC.

Not even a criticism but DS3 is making me realise more that Miyazaki has like 7 ideas that he just repeats over and over again, it's like seeing a filmmaker repeating story elements, the parallels between Raya Lucaria and Irithyll are crazy
