    The fire has been linked. I just finished Dark Souls (Remastered).

    Verdict: This is one of the best games I have ever played. I see why people call Dark Souls 1 a classic and perhaps the best game in the series. The overall experience and atmosphere was fantastic. I thought DS1 would feel outdated but the gameplay still holds up. I started on DS1 right after beating DS3 and I was surprised to find that running, jumping, smacking enemies all felt very much like it did in DS3, and I played both in 60 FPS (Xbox Series S). That made the transition from DS3 to DS1 feel smooth even though they are years apart.

    Now, on towards some new adventures (or perhaps NG+)!

    Been nice to read through your first experience with the game, would definitely recommend playing the excellent DLC as well

    Thanks my dude. I think the DLC is included in the Remastered version but I forgot to do it before I beat the game. If I play through it again I’ll check out the DLC as well.

    Played DS3 for the first time since like 2018

    Finished in 7 hours, it's way easier than I remembered. I was scarred to fight pontiff then I first tried him

    Can’t believe dark souls 1 is nearly 15 years old that s*** was a religious experience when I played it back in 2013

    Its kind of insane how it is their best game and maybe the best game ever made even tho the entire last third is unfinished

    One thing I'll say about Dark Souls is that the combat is more fun and less fatigue-inducing than Elden Ring most of the time, been playing the DLC and often a new boss brings me no joy, just frustration, but the final boss of DS3's DLC is one I'd happily look forward to fighting each time I tried again
