I got all 4 Souls. I dont think Im gonna bother with the DLC. This game is pretty mid honestly.
Miyazaki is just too good.
One DLC in particular was super f***ing annoying. I dropped it at that point. Base game was fun though, even if it is the lowest on the list of From games.

There's just something missing. It does feel like the knockoff that it is.
I think I got to the final boss door. Stopped though cuz I was playing all day lel. I'll probably beat it and be done with it.
DS1's connected world is just a lot more impactful for this series.
Even just the enemy attack animations are pretty tame for pretty much all of them. It just gets annoying when they throw 5 of the same enemy at you randomly. You can abuse most of them hard by not locking on. The last Great Soul I grabbed was that fire demon in the Iron Keep and it was one of the lamest fights.
DS3 just is way more polished and feels better to play. I haven't played it in years though.
I'd put my ranking as
Ds1>DS3>>>DS2

Yeah it's very clearly not Miyazaki's team but I think it does some interesting things, and the overall aesthetic/vibe is cool. But yeah a lot of bosses suck and enemy placement and s*** is a mess.
Damn I haven’t played a Dark Souls game since 2019
Might be time to finally finish Dark Souls 1 this year
I have DS1, DS3, Sekiro all brand new and unplayed. Plan to get Elden Ring eventually too. Shorter, more linear games just keep coming up and I dread struggling with the difficulty so I play something else instead

DS2 was my first Fromsoft game in like 2014. I loved it but playing Bloodborne a few years later and seeing Yharnam's map design - I saw what people meant about DS2 missing something

I feel like I need a holiday or something to be playing a Souls game, it's not really something I want to play for an hour or 2 after a day of work. Would prefer something easier and less demanding like Spiderman
Ima get to them eventually though
My backlog is just insane, still have to play Ragnarok and TLOU2 too

Smh. Sekiro is probably a top 3 game of the last 10 years. Get on that s***.
You have to speak to some random NPC until they exhaust their dialogue options to open a new path.
This Souls is officially the WORST Souls.
I had to cheat. I would have never figured that out.
What is this about lmao

Sekiro is pretty short and linear definitely recommend playing it
Played it for the first time this month and it became one of my favorite games very quickly

To open the path to one lf the main areas you gotta speak to thjs mage girl praying, but she doesnt seem different than any random shop npc selling spells and whatnot.
I had no idea i had to talk to her to unlock the switch.
I was just annoyed cuz i was running around the whole map trying to find the path.

Lmao yeah i figured this was the one
There are some hints but its a bit of a weird decision to put one of the main paths behind this "puzzle"
Got the King's Ring
almost done with this MID.
Did the Cyrpt area with a the ringing bells. That was obnoxious.
This end game is one of the most confusing things ever. I have never been so lost. The game will costantly put you in a dead end and you have to warp around trying to find the next path.
Edit before post: i typed alldat forgetting about an area i needed to go to and turned around for a sec. Then i forgot to go back
Because i used my great souls for cash i couldnt beat vendrick lmao!
Come on man... 10k a giant soul is not worth it u get so many souls in this game

i honestly just couldnt care anymore. i didn't even know they were key items. i thought you could just build a weapon with them
It's over though. Invaded some poor random as my final send off and 3 shot them.
It's cool NG+ doesn't immeditately start though so I can technically still do the DLC without much hassle. For now though I'll take a break from the game.
It was aight.
Other than the corny curse stuff the final boss wasn't too bad either.
I can play Demon's Souls (OG) on PC now so I will probably do that. Then that will truly be every Souls game.

The dlc are pretty good i def recommend them
Good on u for pushing through and not dropping the game though its a divisive one for a reason
I will say I had a much better time with it on my second playthrough and engaging with the admittedly pretty weird mechanics more in depth
