    If you make the nostalgia argument then I could come back with the argument that you’re a prisoner of the moment. Of course newer stuff seems more creative than old stuff in the moment but in reality, the people who turned the turntable into an instrument are way more creative than people mixing rap with pop punk

    I’m not making the argument about who’s more creative just better. creativity is on a individual by individual bases, humans however just get better at everything as time goes on I don’t know how this can be argued

    humans are better at running, sprinting, swimming (every sport tbh), cooking, dancing, you name it.

    something can be said for people who started everything off but in no way are they better than decades of humans learning from them and surpassing them in skill. the top rappers today are miles better than the top rappers of before.
