i was too geeked, i didnt go back and watch s***. wanted to forget all about this movie until the day it dropped. still enjoyed it
it was funny ill give it that
lot of cool fan service moments too
Why didn’t you like it
Felt like the same formulaic fan service s*** Marvel has been doing since NWH. And another stupid ass multiverse plot with absolutely no playoff
Jokes really didn't hit either
Surely Marvel stans have to be getting tired of the franchise sacrificing writing and cinematography for more cameos

I thought the cameos worked well in this and liked most of the jokes personally. Made me feel good seeing them call most of their recent stuff not good.

Right but it's basically them telling you they didn't have enough of a plot with just Deadpool and Wolverine lmao
That's been my problem with every Marvel movie post NWH with the exception of GOTG3
No spoilers (I know lol) but should I see Deadpool 2 and the Fox X-men movies before seeing this?
Seen Logan, The Wolverine, Wolverine Origins, and X-men 1 but not the others
I think only Logan and the first two Deadpool films are essential viewing to understand the foundation of the movie.
But having knowledge of all of the Fox Marvel movies would definitely make some of the cameos and inside jokes hit better
I can't believe I predicted the "They're gonna do a wolverine team up and bring back Logan like in the comics so it's two of em" before they they annouced Hugh back but I can't bump my post of it in the main thread cuz it's it's actual spoiler
Also this was billed as being a "shot in the arm for Marvel" and setting up the MCU for the next few years and I don't think it accomplished either of those things

I think it works here though because the movie is openly poking fun at that and saying that the Multiverse Saga has been pretty much a failure

What would a pay off be?

So they're poking fun at the s***ty multiverse saga with another s***ty multiverse movie
Like I understand the joke but it's also painfully stupid
I'm prolly in the minority of thinking this Marvel phase was a failure for alot more then the "multiverse" stuff mainly cuz it didn't really make up the bulk of it imo.
BP,Black Widow,GOTG3,WandaVision weren't about that and really only Loki,Strange,Spiderman and now Deadpool were.
A mixed bag of an era but I'd put it on about the same level as Phase 2 but it's nice to see them move on and I'm hyped for the Mutant Saga.
What would a pay off be?
An event of actual consequence happening
Multiverse makes everything irrelevant because they can just rewrite it in a later film
I think The Flash really put a stain on the multiverse aspect plus everyone has been doing it.
But Marvel hasn’t put out a really bad multiverse based show or movie. Loki, No Way Home, Multiverse of Madness, this, all good in my book
The stuff that’s been not good or lacking has been the stuff that hasn’t dealt with the multiverse like Secret Invasion (GARBAGE) and She-Hulk (hit and miss)
