Idk to me his directing style is very cold and robotic, I don't think it fits dune that well, it was fire for Blade Runner but I don't see it working too well here
Is Timothee Chamalet the grandson of a duke or something? This nigga is in every movie
1917, by your boy, was s*** and it had great cinematography. I rather watch a film with a great story/acting etc than a pretty film like 1917 with 0 substance.
Great cinematography is an extension of storytelling
1917 had s***ty direction but point is Dune visuals are gonna be a huge deal
Why yall desperate to die for Denis Villeneuve lol, this is a forum, for discussion, we're discussing, jfc
Hating on Denis but be bigging up mediocrity like Ari Aster, and Alex Garland

ari and alex both young gods
Like Enemy and Prisoners are both really dope but I can't be the only one who finds his approach to sci-fi visuals so dull.

You mean like sci-fi heavy weights such as Arrival and Blade Runner

Sure, but it’s not the be all and end all of film like your making it seem. The things I mentioned are more important and personally, from what I can tell from the trailer, it still looks very exciting from a cinematography standpoint imo

GOAT films of our gen

Yeah i didn't find the visuals in either of them as striking as many people seem to. Like yeah 2049 was pleasing to look at but I don't feel like going back to the film because of it and it was slightly underwritten imo

There’s only one movie and it’s really not that good
I meant to say “how are the books”

Lol the funny thing about this post is that the father of his character in this film is known as 'Duke Leto'
