Still havent watched ex machina, my gf has the biggest migraines ever lately she never wants to watch a film anymore
I had annihilation at a 7/10 but toevallig i was thinking abt it last night, really need a rewatch cause it had some awesome scenes and was very lovecraftian
And yeah ari aster the goat ofc thinking abt saying f***it and giving midsommar the full 10/10

I kinda understand it but yeah Blade Runner 2049 was something special. Not many films have crazy ass color palettes like that and 10/10 cinematography in every shot
There's a reason why BR2049 is a modern day classic. It's not easy to make a film like that. People don't just s*** em out, not even Villeneuve
But nevertheless the trailer looks beautiful and the final film is gonna look stunning in it's own way
Kinda reminds me of Nolan/Fincher with all the somber grey tones throughout
people need to realize Dune has to appear to a very wide audience. the story itself is just as good as GRRM's one if not better
this was never going to be a f***ing art house film, ppl are complaining for no reason. Trailer was epic and is doing huge numbers

Not rlly an argument. The costuming / interior sets all look boring af. They COULD use color if they wanted to. The muted tones were purely a creative decision.
I mean look at how the Tuareg (actual desert ppl) dress
