next weekend is an open beta too i think

depends on what you like for an end game, but..

imo, diablo 2’s end game is one of the most addicting OAT

most people in the D2 that’s out now (cause people are still playing it to this day, lol) just get rushed to hell (higher level character clears all quests for them in each difficulty), then do chaos and baal runs to level 75, gear their character and PvP or magic find to get more gear for their other characters - meaning for veteran players the game begins after it ends, and where most people play. also it’s no easy feat to get to level 99 if that’s your thing. it’s actually ridiculously long lol

anyway, for D2:R, i’d say the real end game that most new players will be interested in is PvP. You will likely want a Magic Find character (a sorc at the beginning since Pally gear will be crazy hard to get), and then a PvP character - so there’s two major characters to work on right at the start: use the MF character to farm gear for the PvP character. But then again there is also Low Level Dueling too (levels 9-30), which is its whole own other community lol

also, the build diversity is crazy. way more so than diablo 3 if you’ve played that. you’ll likely want to keep making different characters as well. there’s items that grant classes other classes skills so you can make things like shapeshifting sorcs (shapeshifting is normally a druid skill), whirlwind assassins (ww is normally a barb skill) etc

trust me this game is dangerously addictive lol. i’ve been addicted on and off since like 2001

edit: but yeah if you like endgames with like extra quests and daily tasks to complete, this game doesn’t have that

idk im running this on Xbox until launch when i might possibly cop for PC and Switch as well

solo play as anyone except for necro or assassin is fine

You right this is like crack. It feels more raw compared to Diablo 3 . The legacy graphics aren’t that bad when I switch over to it . I’m f***ing surprised I haven’t played this ever

1. the option to use KBM on a console would be cool, since you can use controller on console without any of the mechanics changing lmao

2. make the console inventory, stat and skill menus the exact same as PC (50% of screen) rather than covering it up entirely when i need to move potions to my belt smh

i’m tight my 1.2k laptop cant run this beta cause my graphics card is integrated

that’s what i get for being a cheap skate and not caring about my gfx card when i got it

looks like i’m playing on console till i can find a graphics card so i can finally build my PC, or they remove the check that automatically crashes the game if you don’t meet the requirements

yeah this game is timeless. a lot of people still play it to this day, even before D2:R was announced
